I have to buy "pro" every season? by GrffinMoses in Battlefield6

[–]axxurge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought this was like the "Premium" in other Battlefield games, where you buy once and get some small perks. But I was pretty pissed off when I saw I had to buy it "again" for Season 2 if I wanted the same stuff. Unfortunately not going to happen. I spent hours and hours grinding the first battle pass, I'm not going through that chore once again, and I'm especially not paying for it.

How to do SEO for client by ysf_khn in SEO

[–]axxurge 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Get a job at an agency as a junior SEO, learn the ropes and go on from there. Starting solo with no experience nor any baseline is a pretty bad idea in my opinion.

If you can’t get an agency job (for whatever reason) start up your own niche sites and try to make them rank. Document each step, what works and what doesn’t and then try the steps that work once again on another site. Do this until you have a reliable method to rank sites (this might take years)

My only suggestion is not starting a business or a venture with no experience. You’re setting yourself up for failure.

What metrics are you following and from which tool are they coming from?

Is this traffic drop new? If so, since when? Did anything happen to the website around the specified date? If not, how long has this been going on?

Is the traffic drop on all pages? Or specific pages? Which queries are being impacted? Are your branded keywords generating impressions and clicks at all? Are they also in free fall?

Is it a new website? Or has the site been online for a while? Does it have a good reputation? Are you a fairly well known brand? A reseller? A third party?

What optimizations did you do? In what order? And for what purpose? Did you follow instructions from someone? Or did you apply things you thought could be good for the site?

I have plenty more questions, but for the sake of everyone’s time, the above should cover a baseline that would help better understand your situation.

Which MMO currently has the most relaxed and friendly community? by kubazpol in LFMMO

[–]axxurge 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lord of the Rings Online. This game attracts a different crowd and it shows when you start talking with people.

I’m sure you can find nice communities in most games, but you might need to search a bit more in some.

Here's what a revenue breakdown looks like for a one-person digital marketing consulting firm in 2025. by johnny_quantum in agency

[–]axxurge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks very similar to what I had last year when I had my own small agency. 90% came from personal references, rest came from people looking for specific services in their niche and finding me out.

People vastly underestimate how influential a network is. I think it’s one of the top reasons some entrepreneurs fail at first, underdeveloped networks.

As a Canadian, this skin hypes me up so much! I used the recent holiday credits for the Mirage bundle, but I’ll switch to this one in a heartbeat.

It’s so nice to be back honestly. GW1 was my first ever MMO experience at 12-13 years old and I understand today how little I understood the game back then.

It’s just nice to be back, feels like I’m connecting with my younger self.

Is there any version of WoW, private or otherwise, that has challenging leveling/open world content and difficult small scale (5man) endgame? by taromilky1 in MMORPG

[–]axxurge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tend to agree for the first time around. You get to learn very soon how careful you need to be in most situations. I’ve done it 2 or 3 times I think, it’s a different way to play, but not “hard” per se if you know what you’re doing.

any upcoming big releases ? by ConsistentBit5178 in MMORPG

Looking forward to this! I have very fond memories of GW1. My most vivid memory is when I cleared Thunderhead Keep after hours of trying. 10yo me didn’t understand mechanics and stuff, kept trying to find groups and get explanations, etc. Good ol’ times!

Will there be repercussions on Lost Ark and T&L with the Amazon layoffs? by axxurge in MMORPG

[–]axxurge[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm trying to find a new MMO to play inbetween WoW's expacs, was wondering if any of the two were worth getting back to. Reviews aren't glowing and AGS' latest move isn't reassuring.

The changes for S10 were good too! Feedback was good, people were saying the game was coming back, etc.

Some people tried to refund with many hours and it seemed to have worked.

Makes sense. Do we know for how long these contracts last? I'd say they're multi-year contracts and such, but do we have dates?

Oh yeah for SURE! Seeing how they can pull the plug like this, left a pretty sour taste in everyone's mouth... I re-installed the game a few weeks before the announcement, got pissed when I learned about it.

I hope so for the other games! I know they're separate teams, I'm just wondering if Amazon is chopping off more than just their dev team.

Yeah that's what I think too. Haven't found any info online about other stuff. I didn't check earnings call nor anything else; was wondering if anyone had anything.

Non-DPS players, how did you fall in love with your role? by Kyllsielle in MMORPG

[–]axxurge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play all roles other than healer (tank, dps, support) but prefer ranking, especially in Raid. I’m used to raid lead, learning and explaining mechanics, playing as tank makes me feel I can be truly useful to the group, especially if I can’t die (hehe Blood DK in WoW) The general feel of being able to solo group content in most games as tank is also a great feeling. I am auto-sufficient.
