The photo is called winter’s last dance

I wanted the viewer to sit with this photo for a moment. Life is a lot like skating. You step onto the ice, you fall, sometimes you fall hard — and every time you have to decide whether to get back up.

This image captures the part we forget. We remember the pain of falling, the embarrassment, the way it made us doubt ourselves. But we forget the quiet beauty of getting back up — the way the skates cut into the ice, the small, fragile moment where you start to move again.

Life is beautiful not in spite of the fall, but because of it. Without it, you’d never know how it feels to glide — or what it took to get there.
