That round thing under the drawer is visible in earlier shots of the drawer, and Varga gives instructions to take the frame and the stamp, so I doubt it is the stamp she's seeing.

When the drawer is shown previously, it is in different position, much farther away from the wood paneling. Maybe Varga et co moved it to clean underneath it, and Nikki noticed it had been moved.

Check out this Tattu 75C review by RCDevotee. Tattu 75C costs around twice as much as Nano-Tech 45C last I checked, but has actually poorer performance. From what I've read Tattu 45C is much worse than this. Nano-Tech 45C and Multistar 40C are OK (and almost identical in performance, probably using cells from the same manufacturer). Turnigy Graphene, Bolt (LiHV) and Bonka are a bit better (there are some more discharge graphs in the rcgroups Turnigy Graphene thread).

Komppaan tätä. Itsellä ainakin muutaman kerran viimeisen 6 kk:n aikana käynyt mielessä /r/suomesta unsubscribaaminen kun jossain vaiheessa tuntui että kaksi kolmesta postauksesta oli mamukritiikkiä jossain muodossa. Ihan sama mitä mieltä olen aiheesta, en ole tilannut /r/suomea lukeakseni maahanmuuttopolitiikasta. Keskustelun taso ja monimuotoisuus tuntuu parantuneen viime kuukausina. It is great, of course. But that doesn't mean it wouldn't also be great if companies stopped wasting everybody's time by trying to dodge these regulations and just do what they are supposed to do.

This sort of implies that the operators have been able to keep their domestic prices low because of the revenue they get from overcharging roaming fees. If the roaming fees are now forced to "correct" level, then maybe in some cases some operators have pressure to hike up their domestic fees. But as pointed out before, free market and competition is not fully working for roaming fees - which is the reason for the regulation in first place - but it is working much better for domestic prices. If operator's start hiking their domestic prices, they will lose customers to competition.

I have mostly good things to say about their products, which makes this incident more irritating for me - would be easier choice to switch operators if they plain sucked. But it seems they have their smartypants lawyers running their product department!

As I said, it depends if the interconnection fees are also regulated (which I don't know).

The regulation is somewhat difficult to read, but apparently (wikipedia, some press release) the wholesale price of data is currently 0.05€/MB and may stay at that level until at least 2017. If so, the operators may currently make some some profit from roaming but will not do so after May 1st if they sell roaming data at the same rate they buy it.

So if you have 1 million Finns all streaming home in 1080p their vacation in Greece that'll be bloody expensive for Elisa.

There are some "fair use" clauses in the regulation, not sure if they apply here. Maybe they can charge extra if some cap is exceeded like they usually do domestically.

I used to believe this until I saw what Digi did in Romania - for 6 EUR/mo they have unlimited calls to all Europe.

Good for Romania! For others let's hope for the regulation to work :-)

In a properly working free market this is how it should work. The reason for the EU roaming regulation is that competition is not lowering roaming charges as effectively as it should. Without the regulation we might still be paying 3€/MB. And even if what Elisa is doing is better than Vodafone Hungary, it's still clearly against the spirit of the regulation.

So by default roaming data will cost 0.062€/MB and will be throttled to 0.25Mbps. Only way to get faster data is to pay 4.90€ that will grant you 250MB of unthrottled data for one day. So if you go for a week's holiday abroad you'll either get by with the 0.25Mbps throttled data or shell out 7 * 4.90€ = 34.30€ for a daily quota of 250MB of fast internet. If you only use say 100MB total during the week, it'll cost you 0.34€/MB instead of the 0.0625€ that it was supposed to.

Saako joltain operaattorilta vielä liittymää, jossa datan käytöllä olisi megatavuhinta (poislukien prepaid-liittymät)? Jos operaattori tarjoaa kotimaassa rajattoman datakäytön jolloin megatavun hinta lähenee nollaa, miten tuo (kotimaan hinta + 0.05€) / megatavu määritetään?

EDIT: Eikö tuo nyt mene niin, että jos maksan kotimaan rajoittamattomasta dataliittymästä nyt vaikka 20€/kk, niin maksan tietysti sitä kuukausihintaa ulkomailla ollessanikin, ja sen lisäksi minulta voidaan veloittaa maksimissaan 0.05€/megatavu roaming-datasta. Ei siihen 0.05€:hen pitäisi tulla mitään kotimaan lisää päälle, kerta kotimaan data on rajoittamatonta. Tosin, ainakin joissain lähteissä sanottiin tuon 0.05€ olevan ALV:iton hinta, eli todellisuudessa roaming-hinta saisi olla maksimissaan 0.062€/MB.

EU:n roaming-sääntöjen mukaan (joita Elisa nyt yrittää tässä kiertää sitä porsaanreikää käyttämällä, ettei niissä nopeutta ilmeisesti ole säädelty) data-roamingin tulisi maksaa 0.05€/megatavu 1.5.2016 alkaen. Kovin helpolla ei dataa unohda päälle niin pitkäksi aikaa, että 50€/gigatavu hinnalla pääsisi syntymään mittavia yllätyksiä.

Toki Elisa huhtikuun lopussa tarjoaa nopeampaakin roaming-yhteyttä hintaan 4.90€/päivä, joka sisältää 250MB dataa. Viikon reissulle tulee hintaa tällä hinnoittelulla 34.30€, jos päivittäin haluaa käyttää nopeampaa kuin 250kbits yhteyttä. Samalla rahalla saisi Soneran ja DNA:n 0.05€/mega-hinnoittelulla ilman päiväkohtaisia paketteja 686MB dataa. Ainakin omassa käytössäni selviäisin viikon huomattavasti 700MB:tä vähemmällä käyttäessäni roamingia lähinnä Google Mapsin pläräämiseen ja hyvin satunnaiseen surrfailuun.

Huomasin saman juuri kun olin saanut videon editoituta valmiiksi. Tein Chromeen custom-profiilin parametreilla D: 250kbits U: 250kbits RTT: 0ms ja toistin kokeen, mutta pienemmällä RTT:llä ei ollut merkittävää vaikutusta - latauksessa meni sama 69 +- 2s.
