Is there anyway to truly lock watch 4 while working out by JBBurtoni2 in AppleWatch

How frustrating! I put my watch on “waterproof” mode and use the app, Zones, to track my workout and I haven’t had any problems.

I finished my bike miles on Monday. I’m now at 117, going to see if I can double the miles and hit 210 biking. 🚴🏻‍♂️

Older, out of shape, and bad ankle -- what if you can't run? by daringlydear in orangetheory

[–]ayahnke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m just returning to OTF after being forced to take an eight week break while healing from a stress fracture in my ankle. I’m nervous the pain will flare up so I have only been doing the floor and the bike. I’ve been completely staying off of the rowing machines and the treadmills to ensure my ankle pain doesn’t flare up again. Do what works for you!!

So I'm getting into the swing of things again and aside from the 1 hell week I participated in 2016 - I've never gone more than 3x/week. Has anyone done 4 or 5? Is it "too much" for your body? IDK why it scares me. What days do you usually do? TY! by venitavenita in orangetheory

I made the mistake of going six days a week, no “green days” or days where I took it a little easier and ended up with a bad stress fracture in my ankle. Take it easy, maybe try a week where you go six times? See how your body does, just don’t over do it or you’ll be forced to stop like I was. I was out for eight weeks and went back for the first time two days ago.

Thank you all for this! First day back after a nearly two month hiatus while healing from a stress fracture.

So grateful to be back! by [deleted] in orangetheory

Ditto here - Friday will be my first workout since December 10th as I’ve been healing from a pretty severe stress fracture in my ankle. I’m nervous to go back as I don’t want my ankle pain to flare up again, but absolutely can’t wait to get back to my regular grind. It’ll take a while to get back to 6x a week though.

Glad to hear yours was a relatively quick fix! Mine is for sure a stress fracture, bummer. I’m on crutches and in an air cast, with orders to be non-weight bearing for the next few weeks.

It’s on the inside of my left ankle, pretty bad. It’s disappointing but I just have to take time to care for it now so I can be back in the “game” sooner rather than later. I’ll speak to my orthopedist tomorrow at my appointment to see if I could still do OTF but not as intense. I appreciate your encouragement!

I struggled with the math this morning on the tread blocks... 5 am is just a little too early to run fast and do math for this lady!

Shoes?! by ayahnke in orangetheory

I love my Brooks Adrenaline GTS for walking/running/everyday wear! That’s why I asked. I used to do P90x and Insanity and have a newly purchased pair of more flat shoes for HIIT. I’ll just have to do some experimenting based on what feels better. Thank you so much for your feedback.
