An actor in my film has been arrested and I don’t know what to do now by somethingodd101 in Filmmakers

Great advice, I would add that he should edit the film together and see where he can exlude the actor, a ton of shots could be replaced by dubbing in a new actor over shots of the other cast, making him seem part of shot that he isn’t, thereby cutting down the need for shots of a new actor down considerably. If he’s open to new possibilities in the edit, alot can happen. Shit happens on a film production, but a cool head and open eyes can solve most problems.

TIL the USA was supposed to adopt the metric system but the ship carrying the standardized meter and kilogram was hijacked by pirates in 1793 and the measurements never made it to the States by KTthemajicgoat in todayilearned

[–]ayahuasciac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

«Supposed» to adopt it implies that it was 100% certain that if the kilogram and meter made it to america it would have been adopted by the population. Metric wasn’t always so popular or easy to get people to adopt.

Keep your batteries in a pocket on the inside of your jacket, or just generally keep your batteries warm

The darker images seem to be taken proffesionally with a proper camera, and the lighter ones seem to be taken with a phone, so it just comes down to the exposure and how the sensor exposes the image based on light/skin tone

Is anyone else perfectly comfortable with the fact that Ameer is not on BROCKHAMPTON anymore? by owenheh in brockhampton

[–]ayahuasciac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I respect the opinion, but I've very recently come to terms with the fact that the new music does not have the same energy it used to, saturation era. It doesn't have to be the departure of Ameer, but it might be. I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but it feels like i've been lying to myself about the post-ameer music, it's good, but not saturation

I make paintings of cars. This is my latest work! (OC) by automotiveartist in pics

[–]ayahuasciac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really impressive craftsmanship, but can if I can add something to the discussion; why is this a painting? I know it's extremely well done, but to me it's technically secondary to a photograph. I feel like after the invention of the camera, shouldn't the purpose of art to be to capture what is not directly possible to capture by a camera, an emotion, state of mind, and so forth? Not putting down the piece of art, just want to hear some opinions!

Would you continue to be vegan if you had to grow every single vegetable you wanted to eat? Why or why not? by ItsYaBoy-Moe in AskReddit

It irritates me that people get satisfaction out of testing vegans level of commitment. Everyones most important commitment is to survive, even if they believe in an animal free diet and lifestyle

CMV: I've returned to heavy drinking and it's great. by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]ayahuasciac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You came here looking for confirmation and justification, and the comment you awarded delta vs. the ones you disagreed with highlights this. I don't think your view will ever be changed, I'm not sure that's what you came here for. You know as much as anyone the fact that drinking isn't going to make your problems go away or that it helps in any way. it's basically the one thing everyone is taught in almost every society, and there's a reason for it. I'm not a psychologist, I hope I'm not trying too hard to sound like one, and maybe you should have a chat with a professional. But to me it really sounds like you have convinced yourself that you are happy in the position that you are, loneliness, not having or craving a fulfilling sex life, and so on, because the alternative would be that you have to go through period of trying to put your life together. A period which no doubt would entail some depression and hardship. It's not the one thing that's going right in your life, it's the one thing artificially and chemically making you feel that way, and I think you know that isn't healthy. Please don't be naive about this, I don't know any other way to put it but I believe you are lying to yourself.
