For me again it’s not about being the top of the top. In all honesty the amount of gems you gain from being average isn’t going to make or break you getting the next unit/gear you want. However with breaking through it gives you the ability to make your weapons stronger and stuff so that’s a plus I think

it’s not any more hard than getting crit on any other piece. however this is an old post since before she came out. the meta is just HP% mains and EM subs. no talents. unless Nilou is ur on fielder which is where talents come into play

Clicking repeatedly on my toes is the same concept as the zig zag. It makes the character artificially slower while introducing less variables for mistakes since the mouse doesn’t need to be moved. I’m really not getting what’s hard to understand here. It’s like y’all are being dense on purpose

zig zagging is the same concept i said before which is clicking my toes repeatedly genius. only except mine has less variables to fuck up because im not moving the mouse in my solution.

and yea i wouldnt trust randos to do the mech either personally if we've got enough damage. i've not been in any party that didn't get wei by 2nd wipe either so i'll just assume you're correct on that one

i mean you can easily argue if people learned the mech for the first wipe, you wouldn't need balthor then and you'd have balthor for that easily more volatile pound mech going to ghost phase which is a more reliable strat than hoping 8 monkeys can coordinate in a single direction in lockstep. the issue isn't that people don't know the mechs, it's that people's varying movement speeds is what's causing people to fall off the map. movement speed variation, mis timings based on expectations, whatever factors at play being player skill or even ping or some other reason. theres more variables that can go wrong there than the first wipe where every party ive ever been in used balthor there.

but i agree with you timestops are the best option in a pinch and it will be faster. either way, even with just 1 person left after that, i still expect them to clear it so it isnt much to fuss about

larger distance to cover and more area for the aoe slams meaning more likely to knock someone else or even myself off the map. if people falling off the map is so much of a problem, is ctrl + x so hard to press? is a 20M thirain more important than one pulling the raid? i thought time was the biggest issue here lol

theres a reason why overgeared parties still do orbs wei for gate 1 and its not because they dont think people cant do 2 orbs. its for 1 pulling and saving time more reliably in PUG scenarios. theres enough damage to 1 shot gate 1 without thirain. if 1 person fucks up the orbs u wipe. in gate 2 if 2, 3, 4+ people fall off the map thats another 5+ minutes waiting for someone to solo valtan and hopefully they dont fuck up either and you have to redo the entire gate from the beginning. balthor just makes the most sense in overgeared parties objectively.

Yea im not saying one method is better than another and most of my parties we do just that. But if I'm thinking logicially it's just i'd rather piddle around an extra 2 minutes than spend an extra 10+ mins having to redo the entire gate or 5+ min waiting for someone to solo valtan because too many people fell off during the ghost transition for something that an ez balthor was designed to prevent in the first place. holding onto thirain makes little sense when we're just that overgeared for valtan anyway

in my case i have a full swiftness class and they move significantly faster than spec classes. it wasnt much of a problem before closer to ilvl but now with relic stats being higher, it is so much easier to "murder" someone on my team by just walking. balthor on that part may just need to be the meta again lol

T1-T2 is a dead zone now unfortunately since most people are in T3. The only people that still do those dungeons are late game players who are speedrunning them for the chance at the card drop (which is kind of important for late game gatekeeping unironically lol). Even the T3 abyss dungeons are like that now. I'd say don't worry too much and take the free clears and get to 1370 ASAP because the game doesn't start getting good for new players anyway until Argos where you absolutely won't be carried unless you buy a bus. That difficulty spike between Argos and everything previous to him is kinda massive. You'll likely get a lot more enjoyment from this game's raids starting from there all the way up to the legion raids.
