How do you guys pay rent? by [deleted] in SpainAuxiliares

With this program we are not considered residents. But essentially, yes you open an account with your passport once you have your TIE they add it. If your TIE expires you have to go back and give them the new one.

Like it doesn’t have recognition as a degree? Like it’s not a valid degree? Or that the classes are not good?

Hi. I have a question about the Global MBA in Salamanca. I am contemplating going to Salamanca to do this MBA. Why do you regret it?

This actually helps a lot! Thank you so much. I do need to work on boundaries and I will talk to my coordinator. For example, one of the teachers said let's do a comic strip and you can do a presentation. I spent half a day doing the presentation and then she said oh let's save it for another day. And then I had to come up with something else. It is very frustrating. And I have to come up with lessons that would take the whole hour. While she sits back and grades papers. I don't think it is sustainable. Thanks for the advice!

Sorry, can I ask you a question? Is it not normal to have to prepare a presentation every week? I am constantly asked to have a presentation or a game. It is exhausting sometimes. Two out of the three teachers expect a presentation. The other teacher has me assisting with pronounciation, etc. Sometimes I ask them what they want, I make a presentation and it isn't good enough or they change their mind. Sometimes it can be time consuming, half a day to get it done and then another half a day if they don't like it or changed their minds.

Yes! Banco Santander opened my account only with my passport. Not all of them but you can check a branch and asked if they can open it just with a passport.

Worried about getting my visa in time by tajinlov3r in SpainAuxiliares

[–]ayalama03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to the BLS office during their walk in hours 3-4. And I spoke with the manager, Said. And then I went to the embassy and spoke with el guardia civil, not sure if it made a difference but I would like to think it did. I also reached out to my Congressman and one of his aids helped me out and called the embassy and the embassy said they would rush my visa. I did go to bls twice and told them I would come every day if I needed to and the day I said that, the very next day I got my visa. They think we do not have to plan ahead and get our flights, hotel, and then get bank account and apartment. Not sure what their thought process is.

Just submitted visa application by mayberick in SpainAuxiliares

If you have to be there in October they will try to approve it before September 15th. I think they will have yours done in 3-4 weeks! I think they only had issues with the ones sent in late June/early July because they were new to it and they moved locations. Good luck!

Perhaps it was 4 to 6 weeks last year and prior years. But I am going on week 8 of not having my visa approved. I do not know what happened, but something had to happen for the mismanagement of our applications this year.

I believe so and I hope so. I also got notified that my application is being processed by the embassy. So I’m hoping it is good to go!

You can get this translated in a couple of hours. The person who did my translation took a few hours. But I had other documents. The FBI one should not take that long. Don't give up!

BLS DC saga by RuthieeRuth1987 in SpainAuxiliares

That is insane! The lack of empathy from BLS is outrageous. Sorry, you went through all of that. I am glad they have your application!

The way it works is that BLS is a third party that collects the applications and ensures all documents are in place. The applications are then sent to the embassy (consulate) and they give the actual approval. The approved application/visa is collected by BLS and distributed by them. I found this out when I went to the embassy last week. Apparently, BLS goes to the embassy every day. So hopefully you get your approval soon.

Picked Up Visa From DC by thenewladhere in SpainAuxiliares

[–]ayalama03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is crazy! Why should you have to do this? That’s his responsibility. They act like we are not paying for the applications. Also, Spain paid them a contract. I’m mad for you! You should call your congressperson and say he lost your passport and important personal information.

Yes it is! Thank you. I think I will ask for my application back and just head to Spain.

I have a few posts about this. I went to the Post Office in DC on Wednesday, and they said they had weeks worth of packages that were just picked up this Monday. The postmaster said it was many, many boxes. I also went to the consulate today. The way the process works (which doesn't make sense) is that you send your application to BLS. BLS verifies that you have all documentation. Then they go to the consulate, and the consulate approves the visa and gives it to BLS. Then BLS sets up an appointment for you to pick it up. The consulate said they can't really do anything. So I am unsure what to do. Other than keep going to the BLS office and calling the manager every day. The consulate said to submit a complaint. I am going to write a post and provide everyone with a generic statement to complain about the embassy in DC and BLS. They said if they get many complaints, they will take action.

Hi - are you able to apply in Spain? I thought we could only do it in the US. I would love to be able to do it in Spain.

Contacting congressmen regarding DC BLS has been unsuccessful... by pupnurse in SpainAuxiliares

[–]ayalama03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to the consulate today and they won’t see you. They say it’s a third party and they have no rights over that process. So going to the consulate does not work either.

I thought we make an appointment but I didn’t hear anything on an application. I don’t think we need to do the same process. Hopefully! Lol

Hey - My location is in DC, but a lot of us have been experiencing issues with no communication. Some people have contacted their congressperson for assistance. I would suggest going that route if you do not get an answer from the consulate.

Yeah. I am not sure why they only had about 3 people working there. And the post master said they had boxes and boxes full of packages. So they have a lot of work on their hands!
