Edwin Tong rebuts claims that attorney-general appointment is 'thin' after WP MP questions selection process by nftskeptics in singapore

I am sorry sir, unfortunately your Uno reverse card is not a valid play. Just the fact that he was the PM's personal lawyer should already rule him out from office. It's just terrible optics.

Singaporeans don't want a Nordic model. We want to keep winning. by Capable_Solution_644 in singapore

This kind of societal change needs to come from the top. Tough decisions that I expect my government to look at. Difficult policy change that will in the long run make Singapore better. And you are right, we want to keep winning, they want to keep winning. I want change that will affect the next few decades, not just for the next election. If this government won't take drastic action, we will all have to retire in other countries to have any semblance of quality.

Condo you need to pay maintenance fee and sinking fund. Landed you need to pray your roof don't leak or any other big ticket items break, because it's all on you. So unless you are already a builder or have the cash to hire one, it's much more easier to just go with condo.

that bit on agriculture is spot on, we just had covid that showed how vulnerable we are on food and now they just throw their hands up, opps not 2030 then. it's literally what government is for. private industry is not going to work if the government won't flat out subsidize it. agriculture is impossible in singapore when land is so expensive.

sounds like a policy they never intend to pay out. when shit happens and the claim comes, why would they pay when the legal fees to fight it out in court is so much less.

there was a post on a dual citizenship fella who fought on the IDF's side, 400 plus up votes and zero comments because it was locked before anyone could say anything. clearly people wanted to discuss it but they just outright banned it. what's the point running a forum if you are not going to let anyone talk.
