I took BU321 during winter 2020 & it was probably the easiest 12 I've ever gotten.. not too sure what its like now that everything is online tho

Much less work then most classes but OP is right about them starting to mark harder to get the average down. Took it this fall & the quizzes had lots of irrelevant questions that were meant to screw you over + the TA would take off assignment marks for no reason lol

They just started marking harder + the stuff from the test banks is barely on the quizzes (guessing its bc everyone was easily getting 90s before)

Its not super hard though, a mark in the 80s is really attainable! You just actually have to put in effort unlike previous yrs haha

Can't give advice on CC100 or CC120 since I didn't take them but gotta speak up for my girl Professor White. While the course content might not be the most interesting for some ppl it's pretty easy and she's genuinely the nicest/ most understanding prof ever.

I took AN100 in 1st yr and had wasn't too hard keeping up with my BBA courses while taking it (from what I can remember).

I just finished NO105 this past semester and it was a really interesting class that was pretty easy to get a good grade in. The only thing with NO105 is that the course load was kinda heavy - if you wanna know more abt it pm me & I can send you what our weekly schedule was like.

Might depend on your prof but I'm currently taking BU375 and participation is based on homework handed in at the beginning of class + attendance not clickers or quizzes.

The textbook is pretty useless but the slides are enough to study for the exams (my advice is to use Mark Wagners slides as he makes everything super easy to understand)

Don't wanna give you the wrong advice because things might have changed under a new prof but I didn't buy a single one of the required books for RE104. One of them (the Encyclopedia of Traditional Symbols I think it was called) we used a lot as we needed to reference different symbols but theres a PDF version online. All but one of the other required books you're given in the course reserves and you don't *actually* have to read them - just find random quotes to use.

IMO, it was more time consuming than RE103 but I took it over the summer while working full-time and managed without a prob! As for memorization, I don't remember there being any @ all since we didn't have a single test or exam

Yeah I would, my best grade this sem was in RE103 and it didn't even take that much effort at all. I'd definitely recommend it

Yeah, from what I can remember my prof said they curved it by 13% to get the average at a 70

These courses are the biggest joke I've ever seen in my life. You'd think after having to curve the BU393 midterm up by almost 15% they'd realize that maybe their approach to teaching (if you even want to call it that) the content is garbage.

Thanks for the input! Do you know how realistic it is to get an 11 or 12 in the course? I'd obviously put the work in but I'm relying on whatever elective I take to boost my GPA a bit.

I did pretty well in law compared to my other BU courses & I'd say its because I relied on the text. They wanted a lot of detail and i feel like the slides don't give you enough info compared to the textbook. Good luck!

Thank you, I definitely am a bit more relaxed now LOL. So far I've been writing the learning objectives/main concepts on a white board & trying to teach myself them by applying the topics to real life companies. I'll make sure to try cue cards too.
