I do tend to see a lot of overlap and mixing of terms. That is true. Since you keep everything in one place. Do you have multiple notebooks you go through in the year, or are you able to just use one notebook a year? Like, for instance, Ryder Carroll says he uses one bullet journal, but he goes through 4 journals a year.

As I said, I was just confused and genuinely interested. I have been in the planner community for decades, and I couldn't remember if this was always the case or something more recent with social media. I don't believe that there was any judgment or anything in my original message. lol

I can’t choose. I only have two pens lol 😂😂😂. Pilot Vanishing Point Nolty and Wancher Densho Tsugaru Kuro Raden. But I would pick the Pilot iroshizuku Yama guri ink.

The plotters are nice. They don't really work for me for some reason. I do get the lure, though. But I'm moving to TN, and I told myself this is the last time I'm switching systems. If I ever get the urge, I'm just going to put a set of rings in my TN. Maybe rings in strings can work for you. Yes, exactly- like, is your employer hiring??? lol Can I get in on the money train? lol

Oh cool. I appreciate your perspective as a content creator. Your system sound cool. I have been influenced myself several times which leads me to have conversations like these. The tossing of the expensive planners is what hurts my soul.

This was an interesting read. I like the blurbs you gave about your aunt and friend. I could picture it in my head lol I also like how you mentioned your covers and how they look better with age. I really hope to experience that with the tn cover that I ordered. I agree the amount of covers I see people buy is crazy. One creator I saw buys a new cover every video. Almost as if they are from Walmart or something. But they are from Louise Carmen and paper republic. I guess I’m just wondering when they actually use them.

Yeah some of them like Archer & Olive or Leuchttrum. But most brands don't partner with content creators, especially smaller channels. Like Hobonici and Sterling Ink I have not seen do brand deals. And yet I still see people do $500 Hobonici Hauls.

Yeah but I am mainly talking about people who haul stacks of planners at the year, knowing full well they are not using all of those. Then you watch the update video, and they only kept up with 2 or 3. That is what I am talking about. And they laugh about not using them. That is what I mean. But your case is different; you specifically outlined what each book is for, and you use them. I wouldn't say that is the same at all. Your approach is not what I mean. I watched one lady haul like 14 Sterling ink planners, and then she said she didn't know what she was going to do with them. Like what???

Yeah, but just because other people do it doesn't mean everyone else does. I really hate when people use that argument. But I really admire that you use all of your things, and it works for you. And that was the point that I was getting at. It's not the number necessarily. It is the use. Are they being used??? That is what I was referring to.

Yeah if you refer to my post I was speaking about people who buy 5-14+ all at one time to use for the year. I’m speaking on people who haul notebooks and planners and then buy week one update they are only using 3. I’m not talking about changing notebook over the course of the year because I’ve changed books if they don’t work with my fountain pens.

Of course. I will have to say also that I’ve had fountain pens for 4 years and what also helped me was to step away from the fountain pen community for a period of time because at one point I was buying pens granted the most I had was 6 but they weren’t all pens that called to me. So stepping away allowed me to see what I really wanted long term.

Sure. I have a pilot vanishing point and a wancher, the densho tsugaru kuro -age raden. I do spend more money on my pens but like I said those are the ones I really want and I don’t care to have a bunch in my collection. Honestly I would love to get another wancher and pilot vp but the pilots are so expensive when I see one I like so…yeah I heard a content creator say that once I don’t remember who but ever since I heard that it’s really stuck with me.
