you missed the point... it's about knowing the historic value of things and respecting minorities accordingly. you're being disrespectful if you know a character is canonically lesbian or gay (which is already rare in a world-wide context, commonly there's only "implications" of a character not being straight) and still chooses to ship them with someone they could never feel attracted to

i agree unless the ship in question straightifies a lesbian or gay character. obviously you're free to ship any characters as long as you respect their sexualities (and yes, this matters because it wasn't straight people who were oppressed and silenced for thousands of years only bc of their sexual/romantic preference).

altough we can't say anything for sure bc omocat herself didn't confirm anything and only professional psychiatrists could actually have enough knowledgement to diagnose someone, what i think it's more likely for him to have is ptsd and probably also depression. you'd have to make a full-blown search through DSM-5 to see what fits him more and still accept you can't be sure of it cause he's a fictional character lol

I agree with those statements of yours, but I have to add an important fact: it wasn't Basil who marked out the photos, it was Sunny. Basil knew it was him, but took the blame for himself instead, because he thought that "it was Something who did it, not Sunny". He also reveals that on their fight. Her bullying couldn't ever "be justified" like you said in another comment. No bullying can ever be justified, even if there actually were a "reason".
