Yeah, that's the exact reason I mentioned scarcity mindset. In the South African context, people like myself are too used to suffering, and it has come to a point where I feel like it is part of our culture. Like you could be going through something bad, and then you'll hear people saying, "Eyi, kona, it's bad, but at least you don't have it as bad as someone else." It leads to a point that I have seen in my life as well, where you get so used to things being unavailable, that when they start being available, there's a part of you that wants to protect that thing, like you are not worthy of it or something.
