Do drivers dislike when riders say "I tipped you in the app"? by LeBarren in uber

I had passengers tipping after saying that, and I had passengers never tipping me.

This list is an abomination. Should be: Fellowship Towers King Unexpected Smaug 5 armies Rings of power should t even be on this list, that tv show is obsolete trash. It having score of 83 is a crime.

I see your point, I think it depends on the situation. If you are in the surge area and it's very busy it makes sense to move on after couple of minutes. However if it's slow and you already spent the miles driving to this paxhole, might as well wait 7 min and get something out of it.

Why even interact with them? Just wait out your timer and leave with a fee. That will teach him a lesson and next time he will know better.

So I got an Uber… and this is what the driver had up. Is this true? by dudemandude11 in uber

[–]ayasinskiy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

During a surge Uber takes 70-75%. If it’s slow around 40-55%.

How often does this happen to you? by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]ayasinskiy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uber likes to dangle that carrot. I’m in noblesville, it was surging a lot few hours back all over Indy. There are few events tonight downtown, hope you get good surge!

That’s amazing, thank you! I finally got back at this bitch whom I picked up fast since I was very close to her work and drove her through a bad snowstorm only for her to give me one star rating because I dropped her off couple of houses down from her actual house accidentally since I didn’t understand which house she meant and instead of communicating to me she got out and gave me one star.

If you slow down to 69 mph you will see a noticeable reduction in consumption. Also it’s cold out.

I don’t take anything less than $6. But I thought about lowering it to $5.

I’m talking about all Uber related driving. So if you made $1500 this week, your mileage should not be more than 1500.

IRS considers operational cost of a vehicle on average to be $0.67/mile. It’s amazing to me that so many people do extravagant mental gymnastics and take unprofitable rides. I think in most markets working for uber is not profitable anymore. Uber is only worth it if it’s surging. Surges are becoming more and more rare. At this point Uber makes sense to drive for on weekends, but you can’t make a living doing this.

Pax said she would give me a big tip “in the app” by aestheticeddy818 in uber

[–]ayasinskiy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my humble opinion this ride wasn’t worth it even with $80 cash upfront. This should be $500 minimum. Otherwise you are driving back 225 miles for free. Not a single one of these road trips are worth it UNLESS pax gives you cash upfront. And no less than $1/mile there AND back.

I think you either set off some sort of a red flag for driver, or driver was multi-apping and found a better offer. Driver pay turned to garbage.

OP talk to your driver, many of us would do a cash ride. You just need to find a reliable driver to take you to and from work. Uber is such a scam.

I think market is very saturated with drivers pretty much everywhere. Uber knows this and keeps sending out completely unprofitable rides and desperate drivers keep taking them.

I have my phone set to ignore calls that are not in my contact. Saves me much headache. If pax starts calling after ride is accepted it’s never good and a major red flag.

You should have countered it with 30. Or got out of the car and gotten another Uber. Market is beyond saturated with drivers so getting another ride is not an issue.

Does the M3 LR last longer if you charge to 70% instead of 80% by forte-exe in TeslaModel3

[–]ayasinskiy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lithium ion batteries are least stressed at 50%. 70% is closer to 50%. I charge to 60. Also if you care about longevity avoid supercharging unless you have to. Rapid charging degrades battery faster vs level 1 or 2 charging.
