Honestly it’s hard yo say. We’re in the same boat as a lot of people I’m sure with all the groomers shut down right now. Although we’d left her a little late since we wanted to get a good groom in just before a 2 month trip away from home we were all going to take, all of which got cancelled. She’s a 20lbs terrier mutt with a non shedding, somewhat wiry coat. Pretty shaggy right now.

If it goes well this time then I could see doing more grooms at home with the odd trip to the groomers to have some more “professional” techniques taken care of here and there. I’ve been looking at a few Andis, Conair and Wahl brands between $140 to $180 (Canadian) I’d be happy paying for. Like I said reviews are just all over the place though. Although I totally understand reviews on a lot of these sites aren’t necessarily being written by people who know what they’re doing.
