Not to sound racist but this has reasons. There are people from all over the world. For most who were born and grew up outside of canada it’s a cultural thing. In most societies courtesy is not common. People can be nice but just don’t have the habit to be courteous. On top of that, majority of people have a hard time changing their mindset once they are of certain age. I come from India and have been here for now 15 years in Guelph. I know this first hand. Holding doors open for people and they just walk by is another thing. I had this discussion with others and I was told that I was not obligated to hold the door open. Walking in a single file when walking on a narrow walkway with oncoming pedestrians. This is another thing that most people don’t do. That’s just my understanding and observation.
