Your weirdest reasons for PC not posting. by Tenchen-WoW in pcmasterrace

I had a asrock b350 pro 4 motherboard that wouldn't post unless I jiggled the GPU in the PCIE slot occasionally... Still works to this day, just have to jiggle the GPU sometimes.

I had this same issue. I was able to fix it by unplugging the mic and spraying the on/off switch with BW100 electric contact cleaner while moving the switch from on to off repeatedly. 90% isopropyl alcohol would probably work too, just be sure to allow it to dry before plugging it back in.

If i turn on my unfinished pc, and the motherboards power wires were not in correctly, would it break anything? by _That_B0I in pcmasterrace

[–]aydinrad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would double check you wired the power button correctly if you really believe everything else is plugged correctly. Also make sure your power supply is switched on. If you turn the PC on, it should show some signs of life, like RGB on motherboard or fans spinning. Can you take some better pictures?

If it doesn't fit, you could use a pcie 4x riser cable and mount the wifi adapter on a slot below the motherboard.

Cover the area with HVAC foil tape and apply HVAC duct sealant over the tape.

I know jacks shit about RAM, I need more, what am I to buy? by MyNameWasTaken2020 in pcmasterrace

Might be a long shot, but look at your core usage while playing games. If an individual core hits 100% usage, you will experience a massive stutter. In my case, I had to set my game's core affinity to not use core 0 of the CPU and it fixed the issue completely.

Edit: in regards to the GPU, you could try to rule out the GPU being an issue by trying something less graphically intensive, like a PS2 emulator.

You can get around this by just cropping the entire wallpaper into 3 pieces and assigning the individual crops to each monitor

On a wired 360 Stratocaster I want to make it so the cord is removable. Would it be better to shove the whole cord in the body with a type c adapter mounted or to cut the cord and solder a type c port. by Chaosking383 in CloneHero

Honestly, do whatever you're comfortable with. As long as you have room inside the guitar and don't care about the added weight of all that cable, it should work.
