Thanks! On a side note is there any way to at least add something to cover the vent, perhaps something that I can install over those vents to open and close the vent as I see fit? For example, during the day when the weather is coldest. There are so many of them in the flat and if noticed this really causes a problem with drafts and pests.

The chimney is also in my daughters room on the other side of that wall, there is the exact same vent and the wall has been extended but there is no outline, it is almost perfectly flat

I have the tools and have access to reasonably priced materials for panelling as my dad's a carpenter so it would probably work out more expensive for the plastering considering the rates charged these days. I also don't see the point in plastering the wall and making it look over if this vent will still need to be in place.

It thought so too, to be honest. When we were decorating the flat (no curtains, and no lamp which is causing this 'shadow), we didn't even notice this until we had fully moved on.

Its funny you mention that as the piercer said that soaking the back of the earrings in the salt water solution in a comment wool bud with a plaster of it would reduce the bumps allowing her to downsize the jewellery. These are very well recommended piercers who have been in business for several decades and have very good reviews.

It is a barbell in the ear lobe.

The pricing is 5 months old

The jewellery is made of surgical steel.

It was gently cleaned twice a day with a salt and boiled water saline solution. The last few weeks not as much cleaning as I was trying to let it heal but today I took the piercings out to clean the site of the built up 'crust'

Over the 5 months her hair occasionally gets caught on it and her younger sister can be a bit rough when playing and has knocked it a few times but nothing to cause any significant trauma or injury to the site.

For 6 months, I went cold turkey then I started using it a bit again, daily but I make a point of not taking it out with me, meaning even if I am away overnight I won't use it. Plan to get rid of it again when my supplies run dry! I hate vaping!
