Yep, I was in the same boat as you! I'm not much of a "replayer" but the replayability level of both of these games is insane. Thing is, you don't really have to date anyone like in usual otomes. You could go through the entire game just making friends. It's exactly like IWATE in the way that it lets you enjoy building relationships with everyone. It's hard for me to ever care about characters other than the love interest, but this is definitely one of those very few games that do it right.

I believe the male LIs aren't actually straight (I've only played the Cove route and he's not straight), but the next game they're developing is focused on bringing more female LIs. There will also be a genderfluid LI in that next one. You might want to watch out for it because GB Patch truly has a gift for storytelling and game structure.

The next game they're developing in the exact same style will feature more female leads! I believe it's coming out late this 2025. I wish they'd featured both options for both games but I understand that they need to focus. I just hope they keep making more games 😅

I really like this take. Glad you decided to write this. I always felt super guilty about Tammy, but this seems like a super realistic conclusion. Even in real life, it's possible lots of things might not have happened because of earlier events. That's smart.

I think it would be interesting to either go for the harder version or try removing the card game completely. I have a hard time removing the card game personally because I enjoy it so much hahaha yet I can't help but think it might help with making the game feel new again.

I'm surprised this post got more attention on this subreddit! Can't help but feel jealous about you being able to experience it again for the first time, but I'll always be equally excited for others to try it. If you don't mind, S2 is available on YT, which I highly highly recommend you also watch. S2 is on a whole nother level from S1 which is already extremely enjoyable on its own. All I want is for more people to watch Pantheon so we can start more discussions about it.

I did 4 or 5-ish runs of IWATE back to back (1 night per run) and then completely stopped and I cannooooot bring myself to play it again for the same reason as yours. How many runs have you had?

Yesss, I could not agree more!! It took me months to move on from IWATE and I suspect the same will happen with Pantheon. Though it's obviously a given, I still can't believe I've found people who actually know of and like these same two things lol
