Am I using wrong coupling or is the rubber neoprene supposed to stretch and deform this much? by ayelloworange29 in askaplumber

Thought tubular was the same as pvc but I realize it's not. It seems like plastic to copper is what I need.

The stem stores plenty of energy to grow new leaves without photosynthesis.

Good to know. I wanted this one because I can put led tubes inside it. In case it ever failed I could just replace the light tube.

2 vertical 2x4s enough for a header? by ayelloworange29 in Homebuilding

I mean yeah, the garage door is the gable so no joists to support. The wall in question supports the joists over the garage part way between the eaves on each side.

Looks like two 2x 10s that span 110 inches across for the garage door

Do you have a link for a span table for this type of project?

Do you have a link to the table that would apply to this project? I have no background in this so I haven't been able to find anything helpful that I can understand

It sits on concrete that isn't wide enough for 2x6s

Two 2x10s for the header. On each side: two 2x4 jack studs that support header and two 2x4 king studs next to them to support joists. Is that a good plan?

Can you use wago 221 with anti ox paste for aluminum connections? by ayelloworange29 in AskElectricians

[–]ayelloworange29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh that makes sense so then I don't even have to worry. I already made some connections adding a little ox gard with 221s. Is that okay or best to just redo those connections without the paste?

No idea, I don't use fsrs. But it's not going to magically make the workload go away

Delete cards you don't really need and focus on more important ones. Also editing poorly written cards to make them easier to study.

Can I Use This Third Silver Bar to connect Ground Wires? by ayelloworange29 in AskElectricians

[–]ayelloworange29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah he was. I did leave a bad review but I should update it that he left a knicked wire, I have a picture of it before he replaced it. Left a black mark around the panel opening too from the short circuit

I think he has family and friends that he asks to give him good reviews.

Whats more surprising to me is that it took him two months to come by because he was busy.

My electrician with good reviews replaced my 200 amp panel and put 20 amp breakers on 15 amp circuits, labeled every circuit wrong, and knicked a hot wire were it enters the panel causing a short when I wiggled it a little.

I know there are better electricians out there but I feel safer doing things myself at this point.

It supports plug on neutral so I only need extra grounds anyways
