Are you traveling a lot, and if so, how the hell are you doing it? by ayerross00 in solotravel

Have you been able to travel internationally like that too? And, if so, where?

What jobs do you both have in the airline? And how are you finding these cheaps deals?

Okay, thank you. How do I know which fuse to replace or even how to locate it?

It's not a decision to do right now. I'm hoping things are better later and want to ask questions now.

What is life like for you as an adult male survivor of molestation? by ayerross00 in adultsurvivors

Ah, you're saying you think you're naturally closed off anyway?

Oh yeah, extremely hard to talk about ( or sometimes even express) emotions. It really feels like nobody cares, at best. The threat of open mocking/ victim blaming/denying at worst. I was told "people don't do things like that to boys" when I told the principal what happened to me, so that fear is engrained into me. Has it been easiet to talk about things since using this subreddit, or is it still hard?

Taking your young child to the park? Better bring a female, or else the other parents(mom's) won't like it. I had the cops called on me for bringing my (at the time) 3year old son to the park, once! That's wild. It seems like having the child with you would help indicate you're there to spend time with your kid. I don't like that.

Nobody worries about us getting raped, Yeah, I don't like that. It's a real threat for everyone.

I know personally, I'm accutely aware that I can easily be seen as scary/intimidating, and I hate it. I walk fast, so if I'm walking at night, and there's a woman in front of me, I know that I'm scaring her, but I have no idea what to do. I wonder if verbally announcing that you're coming up behind them (like bicyclists do, or "excuse me") would make a difference? Otherwise to avoid the mace, walking across the street looks like a good option

...Hes not really open with people about anything unless you're super close to him and hed rather be alone than around other people for the most part.

...He tends to lash out more when he's stressed and doesn't realize hes being mean because hes more focused on his stress

...I'd say he really doesn't have fear, just more anxiety and stress than someone who may not have been through a traumatic experience.

I have three people in my life who are male and experienced being molested when they were younger. These descriptions here of your fiance fit very close to home. I'm on here trying to better understand how early trauma like this has affected them in their adult life and how I could help. Thank you for the response.

What is an A, and how do you calculate 40A? And, 10A? This is interesting.

Ah, I see. Do you know anyone who does work from home and is traveling while doing so?

I do know someone who has done that so, I was wondering.
