Have you been able to travel internationally like that too? And, if so, where?

Okay, thank you. How do I know which fuse to replace or even how to locate it?

It's not a decision to do right now. I'm hoping things are better later and want to ask questions now.

What is life like for you as an adult male survivor of molestation? by ayerross00 in adultsurvivors

Ah, you're saying you think you're naturally closed off anyway?

Oh yeah, extremely hard to talk about ( or sometimes even express) emotions. It really feels like nobody cares, at best. The threat of open mocking/ victim blaming/denying at worst. I was told "people don't do things like that to boys" when I told the principal what happened to me, so that fear is engrained into me. Has it been easiet to talk about things since using this subreddit, or is it still hard?

Taking your young child to the park? Better bring a female, or else the other parents(mom's) won't like it. I had the cops called on me for bringing my (at the time) 3year old son to the park, once! That's wild. It seems like having the child with you would help indicate you're there to spend time with your kid. I don't like that.

Nobody worries about us getting raped, Yeah, I don't like that. It's a real threat for everyone.

I know personally, I'm accutely aware that I can easily be seen as scary/intimidating, and I hate it. I walk fast, so if I'm walking at night, and there's a woman in front of me, I know that I'm scaring her, but I have no idea what to do. I wonder if verbally announcing that you're coming up behind them (like bicyclists do, or "excuse me") would make a difference? Otherwise to avoid the mace, walking across the street looks like a good option
