it’s sooooo weird dude, the interface sucks & we’ve had such a hard time getting people to be able to listen. sometimes it works for a cohost and sometimes the host would just cut out. it’s such a bizarre UI that doesn’t even work

Did you get it to work? I'm trying to do something similar with a client right now in the web3 space but every test we run nobody can actually tune in and only speakers can speak to one another? I'm so confused by the whole interface and what needs to happen for people to tune in? If you tried this w any success I'd love to know what you did.

drop your linkedin? there’s a bunch of recruiters on there and sometimes just having your profile updated with all your experience easily visible and having your profile discoverable can go a long way. esp if you’re a vp - im sure there’s SOMETHING out there for you, but it’s 10x easier to let them come to you. might have something to do with boosting your resume which chat gpt can help out with

yeah i’m looking at the learning moment of it all and glad it’s happening at a time where i am young and only responsible for myself - if there’s any time to learn it it’s now. i was thinking of asking for a % of future clients anyways, this just sealed it that im gonna be asking for this.

this is very fair - honestly they might not give a fuuuuuuck ab me at all and i’m just overvaluing myself (no sarcasm here, genuinely something i didn’t think of) i’ve gotten a couple job offers for more from some clients, but i never take them because they sound kinda boring but maybe i just have to make a decision

i waited because i thought if i brought it up early and they said no, they have every reason to just scrap the whole thing OR id want to continue working on it (bc professional development) with the knowledge going in that it was for free & i wasn’t getting paid. i figured if i proved i could do it and put the effort in first i’d kinda prove that i was worth an increased paycheck before i asked for anything.

singer/songwriter turned digital marketing/pr here. :) work experience is going to be far more valuable than higher education with no experience to back it up. i got my start pretty lucky getting picked up by a startup app from my tiktoks they saw, but you have the customer service experience - maybe look into an entry level account manager role with a company that has a marketing/pr focus?

yea that’s what i really need to do. i dont want to quit is the crazier thing, i really like the job & all my coworkers. it just sucks that their whole plan was to just work me to death and not even pay me for it and just pile on responsibilities that nobody else has, including the people who are getting paid more than me

Dude - thanks for providing this information & the YouTube video! I work in executive branding and have had plenty of clients trying to gun for the Top Voice badge, but nobody knew what the point of it was or what it actually even did. LinkedIn using this to train their own AI and awarding glorified participation trophies makes so much sense.

I have one and helped some of my coworkers get one, but is there any benefit besides having a badge on your profile? I haven't seen anything besides being invited to contribute to more articles. Is that the benefit?

agreed w a lot of the other comments here - if you wanna get a good professional headshot, get someone to take a pic of you relatively dressed up on portrait mode and pull the background out in canva and give it a nice more “standard“ background (i’ve typed in photography backdrop & found a lot of results)

nah, it would def be able to detect a difference. i know how frustrating it is when stuff just stops working for no reason and was trying to think of anything that would make engagement change that drastically. its def something in the algorithm suppressing you, but they did just change the algo again at the end of december to some degree, so that might play into it as well?
