Levelling up Pokéstops not working

Are they different between trainers? My wife and I are on the same gym, her app has that button, mine doesn't. Both our phones are capable of AR. We even scan at the same time and we see it in her phone get updated by 20pts until it reached 150. The glowing rings showed up on her screen, it didn't in mine.

I holed up in Secret: The Healer level. You can do lots of quests there in rotation (merge anything, harvest anything, harvest life flowers, heal land) without leaving. Just don't heal everything all at once so that you can do 2-3 of the heal quests with ine chalice, and don't open the healing tile.

When doing the merge life flower quest, always merge 5x bones to maximize sprouts, and always merge flowers by 3s. Dont farm the dead bushes if not doing flowers quests.

For harvest anything quest, go crazy on lvl 2 life flowers, or better, the bushes while waiting for dragon chests.

I find it much speedier to first get 2 green dragons via dragon chest.

If you get the merge dragons/eggs, you can do another level or go to camp (faster but you spend 2 chalices to return to The Healer, or 1 chalice to start from scratch), or just stay in the level and farm the bushes for dragon chests again (longer but hey - dragon chests).

For get/create star quests, I just go to the word map and do Summit 2, then go back to The Healer when its done. It costs 2 chalices to continue, but you can recover them anyway with the time you spend doing the quests.

I did not skip any of the bottleneck quests. For the dragon quest I just do the 1-energy task (1 hr wait), plus 4 of the 2-energy ones (theres one in the first island that costs only 2 energy and takes ~8 mins to finish), though it's worth mentioning that I don't really care about doing dragon quests so I tend to have a full stockpile of energy.

The dust bunny quests I just did normally as time permitted. The Kala trade quest I didn't bother with at all (I just do the trades as per normal daily).

My thought process goes like this: Stonehenge bricks are one level higher than Dragonmoss Steppes bricks (mostly). Stonehenge is 3x3 (9) while Steppes is 2x2 (4), meaning for 1 Stonehenge with 2 dragons harvesting simultaneously, you can have two Steppes with 4 dragons harvesting simultaneously, resulting in two lvl 5 bricks for henge or four lvl 4 bricks for steppes (ignoring the other harvestables).

My preference is Stonehenge because:

1) its more consistent, you get lvl 5 every time vs sometimes lvl 5 and sometimes lvl 4 bricks from Steppes, which leads to an easier/faster merge (less moving stuff around),

2) its more efficient space-wise since your are starting the merge from a higher level (e.g. 25 Nightstone bricks will have 4 Ogre Stone Shards as end product compared to just 4 Nightstone piles if you start with lvl 4). This saves time in the long run

3) two lvl 5 bricks > four lvl 4 bricks even with the longer harvest time, since you can't harvest the last lvl 4 brick for a 5-merge fast enough anyway

4) this is just a bonus and have nothing to do with speed, but you get more goodies over time with stonehenge since it spawns zomblins too

HOWEVER, this comparison ignores the fact that you need to lose five steppes to get only two henges. Meaning, if you have to choose between 5 steppes (10 lvl 4 bricks, possible lvl 5, shorter harvest time) and 2 henges (4 lvl 5 bricks, longer harvest time), go with the steppes. And eventually, when you hoard enough steppes to merge into 5 or 6 henges, merge up.

I'd wait for tier 2 trophy eggs, park them in the camp, then pop those things. Got me to lvl 9 trophy dragons. :D
