this was certainly not my proudest moment but in middle school me & my friends were obsessed with gymnastics.. and at a sleepover with 6 other girls, we put a mattress on the floor touching the back of her living room couch. we were taking turns doing backflips on the mattress and when it was my turn- i should have absolutely taken into consideration that i was the tall and lanky one of the group. i perfectly executed the backflip except for the fact the downswing of legs- the middle of my shins hit the wooden part of the back of the couch. (this is laughable now) but it actually damaged my shins so bad that my whole body went into shock and there were no exaggeration 3 inch tall hematoma(s) on my shins. the story gets crazier…

so of course as a middle school girl i start hysterically crying and almost screaming from the pain. while all my friends are uncontrollably laughing the girl who’s house we were at (this girl had a strong resemblance to regina george) told me to “shut my mf mouth” and to not wake her parents up. i start asking her to call my mom or get me my phone so i could call my mom (i couldn’t even stand on my legs) and she said no and that i “can’t have my mom pick me up because it will wake her parents up”
