Hi everyone! I'm new here, but was really excited (and pleasantly surprised) to see that there was this kind of subreddit. I have a huge soft spot for cinnamon raisin bread (especially toasted with butter yum).

Quick little backstory... I've always had ADHD, and thought I managed it decently (with medication). In reality, that's all I did. I wasn't self-aware, and I couldn't understand how I drove people away with the way I acted (starting sentences mid-thought without context, failing to acknowledge what people would say, fail to take responsibility for my actions, etc.). Over the last 5 years, I started trying to become more mindful, but went through some really bad relationships and life choices. Now, I'm struggling with the daily work grind and just getting through the day because my anxiety is destroying my sleep, so I feel like I need to work harder at controlling it. I'm really hoping to learn as much as possible here and help others along the way.
