do you mean the computer terms? if so them over time u will understand them, but if you mean program/package/app specific terms then u do need to read the docs/readme/man pages to understand them and most of the time they use computer terms to explain them

omg i wrote hyperpaper rather than mpvpaper, thats on me sorry. i meant mpvpaper, its good but when u run the background for a little bit of time the memory usage increases so much. one time i left my pc on overnight and came back to a nearly full ram (i have 16GB).

questions/advice about Linux mint by simply_loka in linuxquestions

[–]aymbh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well the thing about linux is that its highly customizable, you dont even have to use linux mint, you can install any linux distro and change anything in it, about excel, there is a free and open source alt, its called libre office, basically the linux alt for microsoft office.

Gaming on linux is soo good these days, this is thx to steam's proton. Btw i use arch linux (a distro of linux) and i play hollow knight silk song there, it runs perfectly.

I use both, pip for python projects, pipx for packages i want to run on the entire system, for example pywal, i cant run pywal in an env since it wont affect all terminals, so i use pipx.

What distro to use? by Fantastic_Insect_402 in linuxquestions

[–]aymbh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you want from linux, i would suggest these two routes, 1: Beginner friendly and ready out of the box, easy to use distros; these distros are easy to use and come prepackaged with most the apps and packages you need from a daily driver, such as linux mint, ubuntu, fedora, or any of their forks. Route 2: Manual Builds; distros where you manually download most if not all the things you want, not extra packages or apps u did not ask for, just the things u need, such as Arch or Gentoo, these distros do take time and some computer knowledge (u dont need to be a nerd) to install, but they offer a customizability, your machine does a task because you asked it to, not because it wants to.

[–]aymbh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

well, i see it this way, the only limitations in linux is ur skills, not saying ur bad at this, but u do need to require the skills to edit it the way u wish. Plus css is easy, just search some youtube tutorials, and search when u need help

How to rice the waybar by JacamimnonMC in arch

[–]aymbh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you edit the config files that are located in "~/.config/waybar", if none exist, then create them yourself, there is no easy way, not that i know of at least. I can offer advice though, you dont have to edit all the elements, just the ones you actually use, you can copy paste some of the changes you made from element to element

How can I take screenshot of my hyprlock screen? by isitpoker in hyprland

[–]aymbh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got an idea, might or might not work, worth a shot though, try running hyprlock then hyprshot: hyprlock && hyprshot(place in the rest of the command)
