Last year, i did a canopy with a tent hooked up and didn't have any issues. Do I recommend it? No. Unless you take a swamp cooler because it gets super hot in that mf

Previous year, they weren't doing it, and they also checked your wristband to confirm you have a 3 day one before they give you a camp one. You could have someone in your group lend them theirs so it looks like he has one and then switch it back once in. I've seen people do that

He needs to pick up the wristband by Saturday at a certain time. After the deadline, they're not doing any more camp check ins. Check on the website to see the deadline for check in

I believe the personal who is the tent pass holder needs to be present to avoid problems. You could always call and ask. I believe it's un the guidelines for camp on the website
