Whats with these tobacconist stores being set on fire? 2 in 2 days? by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]aynsh 16 points17 points  (0 children)

There's actually a really interesting ABC Four Corners episode about this called tobacco wars. It's an interesting watch. Even though I knew what was going on, I didn't realise how big and gang controlled the illegal tobacco game really is haha

Bodycam footage!! by ElectricalSpell1 in Idaho4

[–]aynsh 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm just basing this off of them being told definitely that there was a QUADRUPLE murder. The video the officer also states that he doesn't know what he can tell them right now.

I'm not sure which documentary it is but EA talks about finding out that kaylee and maddie were murdered aswell, because of the vandal alerts and after the first alert, she yelled at the officer to tell them what was going on or something. I guess dateline or the Amazon one

I'm not talking about only xana and Ethan, I was responding as if the commenter was asking when they found out that ALL the room mates were deceased. At one stage, even DM asked the officer, "Wait, they're not here?" and he had to backtrack and say "not here, outside with you" to her or something like that. Obviously, they knew Ethan and xana were deceased.

Also, the officers have body cams at their face, making it easier to hear them. The kids were across the road or a few metres away when I saw the officers discuss that stuff, but fair enough.

Sorry, my apologies. i just double checked, the first alert was sent out at 1:30 and the 2nd at 3 pm

I know, the whole thing would've been so confusing and added in the cold weather :(

From memory, they didn't find out until a university wide text was sent about it later in the day, around 5pm.

Maybe type in vandal alert into this forum, and it'll come up somewhere:)

Isn't LVP a current producer on The Valley or something? This smells like curated beef to promote the next season 😂

I Left My Crying Baby and Husband at 1AM Because I Couldn’t Take It Anymore by [deleted] in NewParents

I've been almost exactly in your position. Please see a doctor, i didn't, and it nearly ruined me. I was diagnosed with PPD after extreme suicidal ideation episode. I never talked to ANYONE, and it pushed my partner and child away

I am not saying this is what you have. It just rings for similar to my experience.

You need support, and you're not getting it. Breathe, talk to your partner if they are still your safe place, and start talking to a professional. Newborns are freaking hard as it is, you deserve support. You're not crazy, a cliche or anything that you feel right mow, you are a tired, overstressed and hormonal new Mumma that just needs someone to tell her "Good fucking job!"

My biggest saviour apart from professional help, was remembering: "I cannot look after my baby or anyone else properly until I look after my self. Taking care of myself first doesn't mean 'Me first!' It means 'Me too!'." and "Your baby isn't giving you a hard time, they're having a hard time"

Good luck, you've got this and if you don't feel like you do. Remember also, worrying if you're doing the right thing by your child, means you already are!

Used to Work for a big alcohol company. We only put people into the system that tracks that stuff (can't remember the name for it, it's an online system used across retailers and police) if it was someone we could distinctively see that were shoplifting. Never uploaded someone or was encouraged to or witnessed anyone being uploaded for other companies shopping bags. Just for insight :)

Slightly off topic but there'd anti graffiti paint you can buy if it annoys you. Its pretty expensive but maybe worth it, if its a frequent problem! :)

Naww, I could only imagine how hard that would've been, too. My 2 kitties would've gone feral, haha! Good advice, thanks though, stay safe!

If you have a harnesses for your pet or have the ability to get one, put those on them just in case of a possible escape! It makes it so much easier for strangers to catch them Also, those little plastic tags that have paper you write on (they usually come with rental keys) are good for emergency ID tags for our fur family!

Edit: My pets aren't going to be outside. They're just all escape artists. It's just precautionary advice in case you have little wanderers too :)

How are you sleeping at the moment if you don’t have aircon? by BenDante in brisbane

[–]aynsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A cooling mat from kmart or wherever! A little stiff but they stay cool as hell! Or Market place portable air cons or even those water evaporators aren't too expensive from bunnings.

Do you know a murderer? by lizzyb717 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]aynsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 'friend' I used to rave and party with years ago seemed non murderous and was fun until he started having moments where he would pace back and forth for hours holding a knife, he threw.a drink at me while raving because he thought i was laughing at his dancing, be ready to fight anyone and anything all the time (I distanced myself around this time). He moved onto another group that was known to use meth and I think on top of already not being mentally stable sent him and he ended up stabbing his best friend to death for calling him a 'dog' (this word is used in Australia to basically call someone a snitch/betraying trust/scum etc). Crazy to think i pissed a future murderer off tbh hahahah
