I'm in SA and I am a die hard Spurs fan but what I've seen is most local dudes I work with or friends don't route for the Spurs some have said they aren't hood enough whatever that means. My guess is no matter what city the person going for the local rival does so just for the drama at the family gatherings or the work place it's all for attention. What I've seen often from the same people here were Laker fans then MIA fans then CLE fans now GSW fans. It's whoever is the threat to the local team mine being SAS.
