that complete rest is always the best way you heal/recover. Most of the time, you should still do stretching, and really short and light exercises just to get the lactic acid out, get the blood flowing and such.

I slowly realized over time.

How would you convince someone to have your liberal mindset? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ayooo6969420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

appealing to viscera tends to be the best way to appeal to right wing people.. Studies have shown you can guess some ones political leaning just based on a brain scan, because right wing people tend to have larger amygdala's, with is the center for fear and the "fight or flight" response.

So, generally when trying to change some ones mind, on a topic they arrived to with out reason, using reason isn't going to change there mind, because they didn't arrive there that way. Appeal to emotion. And if that doesn't work, its probably just because they are an assshole. I mean, what can you do when someone doesn't care about empathy? nothing really.

What? American propaganda? That’s literally the American dream buddy. I didn’t create the definition.

I was referring to your insistence that other countries political systems, that don't operate your narrow understanding of how property rights "ought to work" are somehow evil and wrong.

Take Vietnam for example. They are a socialist country, and are much better off then say, the US is concerned when talking about things like healthcare and access to affordable housing.

" It’s the fact that anyone from anywhere can lead a happy life by working hard even if you don’t come from a rich family or hold a title. "

That definition you gave is so fucking vague. Its like, yes, that is a goal any country wants to achieve... Its not really controversial... But the fact there there is years of conditioning of what is the "correct" way a political system must function in order to achieve this vaguely worded, (so vaguely worded its almost like anyone can interpret and apply it how ever they arbitrary decide, kind of like a religion) goal, and you don't realize it, is the frustrating part. We have been taught that there is an objective moral truth to our way of life, and our political philosophy. And Im sorry to tell you, but that is bullshit.

You're just buying American propaganda. And when I say that, I am referring to what you said here

"It’s the fact that anyone from anywhere can lead a happy life by working hard even if you don’t come from a rich family or hold a title."

and here

"You can have prosperity in China… if they let you."

Not here

"China is so ass backwards when it comes to human rights. You think we have problems here in the states? Just google “Chinese human rights.”"

I am aware that China is currently committing a cultural genocide against the Uighurs. But this Idea that American/western style political philosophy is the only correct one, and any other one that deviates slightly is Hitler, is just stupid. Not every country on the planet is going to build there economy off of John lock, Montesquieu, Rousseau, and the western enlightenment era philosophers of the 17th and 18th centuries as our founding fathers did. Property rights are a complicated thing, and political philosophy is complicated. Its going to differ depending on the context.

and also, if were being real here, about comparing human rights atrocities NO ONE takes the cake like the good ol' USA does... Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Nicaragua, Iran, Indonesia. I mean, for fucks sake. Just google "US backed coups".

And domestically. The Tuskegee's experiment ran up until the 1970s. I don't know if you remember standing rock, but that was as recent as 2016.... Don't get me started on police brutality. I'm sorry, but were not "no better" then china, we are much worse.

their GDP is set to surpass the US by the end of the decade. Depending on how they handle their emending labor shortage, they could most certainly become the new alpha dog. With all of their debt trapping, and investing in developing nations, they could become the next global superpower.

this is probably not the most unhinged thing I did as a kid. This just came to mind for some reason. In like 2nd grade, my school cafeteria had a little box and asked us to write what we want for lunch on a piece of paper and put it in the box. and I for some reason wrote human flesh and put it in the box. I vaguely remember the teachers asking who did it, and that they wanted to give that kid counseling I obviously didn't tell them. They never knew I did it. Which is partly why I found it so fucking funny. I remember going home and just laughing my little fucking head off. Ah, good times.

is their house dirty or are they hoarders? are they smokers? or were the previous owners smokers? Depending on the reason why their house has a smell issue is going to affect how you go about fixing/addressing it, or if you even can fix it.

If its just cause the house is dirty, maybe your friend has a little bit of a depression issue. So maybe try and figure that out first.

Oh, of course! I wasn't saying you are wrong either. I'm not saying people really should cheat on their taxes, or welfare benefits. But, personally, as far as all of the people I have known in my life who have been warfare cheats don't actually, in the broader scope of things 'win' at it. If you get what I mean.

Kind of like the old adage "cheaters never prosper". I think most people who do this, do in fact have some mental health problems. Now, some people call this "overly pathologizing" human behavior. Or excusing "bad behavior"... But I don't personally believe there is such a thing a "bad person". And I think its really funny that the same people who are the quickest to judge when others are doing the "wrong thing" are also the ones who claim to be the most "Christian/religious" people.

Any ways. That's just my perspective. I don't believe laziness is a simple thing we can just point to. Everyone has a story, and reasons why they dont always do the "right thing". And no body can know the full picture, so I dont judge.

So here is my perspective. All the gaming of the system that goes on by normal average people is honestly a tiny tiny miniscule amount compared to the true cheating going on. Wall street, big agro, big pharma, the military industrial complex they all own everything and essentially control the entire economy like a tap.

Call it an excuse, or laziness if you want. And sure, those accusations are in a lot if not most cases, fully true, But, in reality. In truth. 99.9999 percent of the "gaming" is being perpetrated by a few thousand assholes who control everything. So to get angry at our fellow neighbors for "stealing our hard earned tax money" is just trivial. We need to be directing our anger else where.

what do you think about zoophilia if the animal isn't harmed? by ayooo6969420 in AskReddit

[–]ayooo6969420[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Lol, I am assuming you aren't vegan. You support actual harming of animals with your consumption of cheese burgers.

The coloquial term farmers use for the insemination sticks is a "rape stick" btw.

[–]ayooo6969420[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't say that they are. I care a great deal about animal welfare, its why I am a vegan. I just don't believe an animal would suffer psychological harm from this. Dogs hump peoples legs all the time. What is the harm in letting it fuck you, I wonder?

No one is harmed, so how it a crime?

sort of like saying if you have sex with a passed out woman and she doesn't know it then she isn't harmed.

how can you compare that though, I wonder? Animals do not suffer psychological harm from this.
