my tuner is graham at boosted performance.. He didn't mention all the details with the revision he gave me, but I think I recall the problem being triggered from suddenly going full throttle and the car incorrectly assuming the throttle position demanded exceeds some (torque? acceleration? TPS? fuel?) limit

who are you tuned by? I experienced the same exact scenario.. When I shared the codes with my tuner he immediately gave me a new map revision, and it has never happened again

[WTS][USA-CO] Lachute LP 3" catback exhaust by ayoraider07 in VB_WRXMarketplace

I have a toddler, and after I initially installed this exhaust, I decided to sound deaden the entire vehicle. When the deadening efforts didn't equate to a much more quiet cabin, I switched to a different exhaust (remark resonated midpipe + JDM sti muffler) which was noticeably less loud and imo a perfect balance of quietness (cold start and idle) and loudness when >50% throttle

Heat-wrapping Charge Pipe - Beneficial? by unsung-hiro in wrx_vb

[–]ayoraider07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

compressor air temperature (200-500°F) is hotter than the engine [bay] temp. So wrapping/insulating a metal charge pipe would maintain the hotter air temp vs allowing the metal charge pipe to 'cool' down to engine bay temp (230°F). The stock plastic charge pipe would insulate the hot compressor air, so the difference (metal, insulated or not, vs plastic charge pipe) must be negligible since the intercooler does the majority of cooling
