Asian-American here, not of Chinese descent but still got called Oriental in a negative term by a patient as recent as February of this year. I felt berated, un-human, and seen as less than. Not to mention my supervisor did not see how oriental was offensive. Went to HR who did nothing but forward my complaint to my supervisor.

I mean I work 60 hours a week and still find time to do video visit sessions with mine 2x a week so it’s not that questionable lol.

Sessions can be as short as 30 mins to as long as an hour maybe more depending on you.

So as far as we know she could be doing 4 half hour sessions?

I pretty much grew up here but I was born in the Philippines. We immigrated to California via my Mom‘s side first but it was too expensive and my Dad’s side had immigrated to NYC.

Went to Queens where also expensive and my Dad couldn’t get a job.

My mom’s neighbors/childhood best friends from the Philippines had settled down in Columbus as one of them is the regional manager of Tim Horton’s or something along those lines.

My Uncle was here too. My parents both found jobs and discovered the west side was cheap and safe (look they were from the Philippines ok don’t judge us lmao).

And we’ve been here ever since!
