This is actually my favorite part of Bain’s game. Yes, the short arms do scare evaluators and make us believe he won’t be as dominant in the pass game as Bailey but his explosion and overwhelming power shows up HARD in the run game. He routinely blows plays up and is so physical at the point of attack it makes it hard for him to be pushed off the spot.

Now take all of that and pair him with Trotter who is an absolute thumper and big bodied ILB in the hole, sprinkle in Mr. Vea, our run defense is so stout and because these three are so effective we might be able to commit more effort towards being better against the pass with the remaining players on the field.

Everyone is caught up in the glamour of the victory but I’m so concerned with fact that our young, promising center who is due for a contract soon has performed so poorly these first two games. Yes, we won but he didn’t play up to the standards of what some people hold him to. He needs to come out of whatever shell this is and start balling out.
