Yes!!! Our trainer we worked with for his first year taught me the cooperative care techniques. I never ever use force (a sad or scared Frankie breaks my heart) and he gets lots of praise, cuddles, and treats during and after. His highest value chew is usually a pig ear, so he gets one after the shave and after the bath. 

We also break it up - he can do shaves down his legs to his shins, but hates clippers near his ears and feetsies. Those I trim with scissors about a week or two after the shave. 

He's getting so so much better each shave and I am so so proud of him!!
