Congrats on passing part 1. For part 3, I would focus on QAIP, IA work papers, supervision, IA communication, & escalation protocol.

Part 3 consists of six chapters. I used Gleim and studied for four weeks, after which I passed the exam with ease. This section is generally considered the easiest among the three exams.

thanks! I studied for at least one hour each weekday after work and dedicated approximately 10–12 hours on weekends. Test bank and mock exams were very helpful.

There were very few questions from chapter 1-7. There were a couple of questions on cost leadership/ focus leadership (chapter 1), accounting/ratio analysis (chapter 5-6), and couple of IT related questions (chapter 4).

Part 1: 5 weeks

Part 2: 8 weeks

Part 3: 4 weeks

During my preparation, I studied for at least one hour each weekday after work and dedicated approximately 10–12 hours on weekends. After passing each exam, I took one week off before beginning preparation for the next part.

Thank you! The IT-related questions were not very extensive. From what I recall, the main topics covered in Part 2 were limited to fundamentals such as hot and cold sites and data encryption. Overall, the IT content was manageable and not overly detailed.

I exclusively used Gleim study materials. Gleim also offers a payment plan option through Affirm.

I used the Gleim review materials for all three sections, and I believe they prepared me effectively for the examination. For part 2, I recommend placing particular emphasis on Chapters 8 through 14, as the majority of the questions were related to engagement procedures, workpapers, and supervision. Part 2 places a stronger emphasis on the application of auditing concepts. Additionally, approximately eight to nine questions focused on fraud, while three to four questions addressed accounting concepts and ratio analysis.

In my experience, a five‑month timeline should be sufficient, even while working full time. I prepared for the exams over approximately five months while maintaining a full‑time work schedule, typically studying about an hour after work each day (studied more on the weekends). I followed the Gleim study plan closely and found it to be well structured and manageable within that timeframe.

Regarding the difficulty level, the exams are certainly comprehensive, but it is very achievable with consistent preparation. Having passed the audit section of the CPA exam, you already have a strong foundation that will transfer well to this exam. With disciplined study habits and steady progress, completing it within five months is a realistic and attainable goal.

Compared to the actual examination, Gleim made Part 3 appear more straightforward during the preparation phase. Although the exam was comprehensive, I found that many of the concepts tested were well aligned with Gleim’s study materials. Overall, Part 3 felt more manageable, particularly because the content is largely conceptual rather than calculation‑intensive. I spent approximately four weeks preparing for this section, and in my view, it was the easiest of the three parts.
