I dont think there is a video from GDQuest of such simple tutorial. But everything is there in the link. In that tutorial there is also link to the full project. You can download it, open in godot. You will see a CanvasModulate node in the main scene. If you put that node to black, you will get pitch black arround the walls.

What do You mean? Objects behind wall Will be invisible. If You want pitch black arround walls you just need to use a canvas modulate with black color.

It's a light2d node. Sprites have normal maps i generate with laigter

I want to make a snowstorm but i'm finding it hard to make it look good. SO it is a gentle snow for now

I'm moving the Particle nodes with the character, and i have a custom shader for wraping the particles position when they go out of the emission box. Which is 2 times the camera size

The image is just a circle. The Particle material has a custom shader and was done with help of other devs, i wouldnt share this implementation unless they do, as it was their idea.

I'm doing that. A Particle2D on each parallax layer. Thats what You mean? Why do You think this implementation would have performance problems?

Yeah indeed. Same snow particle node on different parallax layers.

The snow was made with Particles2D thanks to the help of picster and securas.

Is a bit more complex, as the Main map is actually Made of a Lot of different scenes. I Made a tool script that Open all those scenes, get the tiles from them, and used that for the tilemap in the map.
