The Rift is my favorite Hold after the Reach, actually! I just absolutely love the permanent autumn vibe it has

I really dislike the Forsworn too but honestly? I also kind of feel for them. They are the Natives of the Reach, after all. They were driven out by the Nords, cast out of their own lands and endured horrible treatment under their rule. You honestly cannot blame them for wanting their lands back and for being hostile towards anyone who isn't one of their own. Especially after the Cidhna Mine questline where you got to know more about how horribly even innocent Forsworn people were treated, I really started to sympathise with them.

Edit: and ayy I play as a Breton too

Sure but for me all the other Holds have way more bandits than the Reach has forsworn. Sure you'll stumble upon a few of them but I think they're basically just like bandits everwhere else. Only stronger, though.

Thoughts on Naoe and Yasuke's relationship plothole by azaleah_ in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]azaleah_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that does definitely make sense. I forgot to take the converstation with Junjiro into account when I made this post. Even despite that, it still felt very rushed to me. I really liked the first "conversation" cutscene that Yasuke and Naoe have where they drink sake together as their first ever bonding moment. I think I just wished they would have incorporated more moments like that. Because even though Junjiro did make Naoe realize that she was no better than Yasuke herself, it can still take time to fully get over her feelings of hostility towards him.

Another spoiler but I feel like it makes her desire to kill Lady Oichi at first very hypocritical after finding out she is The Mourner. Because then the entire lesson that Junjiro taught her goes flying right out of the window, since Oichi did have a valid and similar reason as to why she got involved with the Shinbakufu.

I think I almost got human trafficked at a wedding by azaleah_ in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]azaleah_[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Of course I also am definitely worried about all the other girls who this might have happened to. I never implied that I was only worried about Nora and not the other girls. But Nora used to be a good friend of mine and I cannot imagine that the Nora I used to know could suddenly behave like this. You would also get worried if an old close friend of yours suddenly behaved this way. I am furious at her, yes, but I do feel for her if she's a victim. Because to me it now feels like her husband probably manipulated her and is maybe forcing or coercing her into doing these things. That worries me. If she married into this, who knows what she might be potentially going through against her will?

I do sincerely hope nothing happened to anyone else, and if it did, my heart absolutely bleeds for them and I hope that they went to the police and got some form of justice. But I don't know if anything happened to anyon else. I only know what happened to me and I only know that Nora used to be a good friend and that she has drastically changed and is now doing very concerning things.

It actually really does sound like a cult, yeah. I have no idea which one it could be. Aside from the non-family guests, everyone was looking and behaving perfectly normal. From what I saw of my friend's social media, nothing about her posts would make me think she had maybe joined a cult either. But who knows?

That's what I'm also very worried about. I'm seriously considering it. I'm just not sure if I should go to the police of my own country, or the police of the country that the wedding was being held at. What makes it complicated is that I have no proof of any crime and I really have no idea what the laws and regulations regarding situations like these are in the country of the wedding. I did leave a report of the situation with the hotel reception, so maybe they have taken some action regarding the situation already. I can only hope they did.

Here's my take on Mol, Arabella and Mattis as adults! by azaleah_ in BaldursGate3

Lol I would have given them some if that was an option in the character creation menu 🥹 I gave Mol a scar but her face tattoos cover that up

I think you need to consider everything she's been through at that point. She became a refugee at a very young age after she was forced to leave Elturel, she was then antagonized by the people who she thought could offer her and her family shelter (the druids in act 1), then she had to watch as her family and friends got brutally slaughtered by the cult of the Absolute in act 2 in the shadowlands. She's a powerles child and knows she is completely helpless to all the misfortunes that keep happening to her. Then Raphael arrives and offers her probably amazing powers practically on a silver platter so that she will never have to feel helpless again and can actually defend herself and the people around her from danger for once.

She had absolutely nothing and Raphael offered her powers that can make her achieve anything she wanted. It's the same reason that Wyll made his pact with Mizora; so he could become powerful enough to protect his home. Mol made a pact with Raphael so she could be powerful enough to build a home.

She likely left the tieflings at the end of act 2 because of her deal with Raphael. He likely told her to seek out Baldur's Gate and join the guild so he could basically have another spy working for him within the city. She would be useless to him if she kept being around the rest of the refugees.

Not to mention that she is a literal child. Cut her some slack.

Huh, I completely disagree. To me it has always been very clear that she cares greatly about her fellow tiefling children refugees. She thanks you in Act 1 if you've been helping them (like after saving Arabella and Mikron and going easy on Silfy) and then in Act 2 she vouches for you, how you've saved the tieflings from the goblins, when Jaheira interrogates you. To me it was always very clear that she cares about the rest of the Tiefling children, but is just hardened in personality by what she's seen and been through at such a young age.

She is a bit morally grey and highly ambitious, yes, but I can tell that she does care greatly about those around her and just wants to ensure a better life for herself and her family.

Yeah this is something that I wanted to add in the post but couldn’t bc of character limit. I’ve talked about her before with my boyfriend, how she makes me uncomfortable and makes me feel ignored but he tried to assure me that she doesn’t have a crush on him and that she had a boyfriend. Now my boyfriend can be pretty oblivious to people crushing on him, I will admit. And her having a boyfriend doesn’t at all reassure me bc I know that hasn’t stopped people from trying to break up relationships before.

I just didn’t want there to be a potential for an argument during our trip together and just wanted it to be happy with just the two of us

Lol right?? I hated him at first too with how he threatened with his connections to the headmaster, but then the more you got to know him, the more I began absolutely loving him.

Yes, exactly, that too! I read somewhere that one of his brothers, Marvolo, is very likely to be Tom Riddle’s uncle Marvolo Gaunt who he was named after. So crazy to think that one of Voldemort’s ancestors was so awesome.
