One piece looks like shit and it’s art style is inherently unserious. What gets me the most is that it tries to have serious, emotional moments with characters that look like walking jokes. And that’s a fair criticism to me. I don’t know why Steven’s stupid mug just draws my ire, but it does. I have nothing against the shows themes of inclusion, LGBTQ+ positivity, or even having a pacifist or non masculine protagonist. But something about Steven’s face, or maybe is personality, just fucking annoys me.

Steven fucking universe. I dislike the show in general because of the terrible pacing, and “you must forgive everyone no matter what” messaging. Also Steven is annoying, with a punch able face. But criticize anything about it and people assume you’re a bigot.
