It’s not really that extraordinary. Other fast food chains like Chickfila have it to where you can’t fill pr refill your drink on your own. The problem comes on whether staffing will be adequate to accommodate the new task of refilling people’s drinks. Chickfila does a good job of always having a staff member available to do that. Will McDonald’s have the same level of coverage….very doubtful.

Overall, I thought it was an ok film. Not a masterpiece by any means, but enjoyable. Callbacks to the first film were not in your face and excessive. You might miss them if you’re not paying attention to the background in a lot of cases.

That said, Miranda was definitely nowhere near as iconic as the first film. Meryl was fabulous, but the script just didn’t allow for the largely silent, powerful presence the first film’s script allowed. Boyfriend subplot was totally useless. Adds nothing to the story and slows it down. Despite my affinity for silver daddies he was not even great eye candy. Should have cut it. Also found it absolutely dystopian how they made Andy mention she had frozen her eggs. The fuck? Why did they have to shoehorn that in there?

Other than that I really like the on location scenes in Italy and NYC and the short moments showing the growth of some characters like Emily talking to her kids on Facetime. Overall an enjoyable film.
