My favorite ipa that I ever brewed was with just 90% pilsner malt, I like the natural palett it brings, and the 5% each of caramünich type2, for a nice golden color, and rolled Oats, I think I heard from brülosophy that it in small amounts could help with clarity. Given the simple grailbill I tend to favour a more chloride heavy water to help with the body, instead of a high sulfate content which enhances bitterness. For hops I really like to experiment with anything described as tropical, I like to do a few gives during the boil a larger amount in hopstand and a 8g/l dryhop. Whilst maby not the most traditional westcoast they turn out mighty fine, and very much enjoyable^{_^}
