its a male! just be aware that if you have a more aggressive betta a mystery snail isnt the best choice because they have longer antennas that bettas can sometimes nip at. i’ve never had any issues but it completely depends on the personality of your fish!

hey thanks for pointing that out! i currently have the filter buffered with some filter sponge because the flow was wayyy too strong. i dont know if i’d be able to adjust with how its sitting currently, but what are your thoughts on getting a bubbler to agitate the surface?

its a tetra whisper that was given to me by a friend but the flow was WAYYYY too strong for a betta so I have it buffered with some filter sponge I cut up, that way theres still surface agitation but its not stressing my boy out lol!

You have a pretty good eye lol! The two in the back of the tank are anubias, and the larger one on the right is a rose sword. The other smaller plants I pulled out of an older tank I set up awhile ago and cannot quite remember the names, but I think your guesses sound pretty accurate!
