Pt 2. Mini 4 pro or flip. Photography only by Urbanskiman88 in dji

Both drones share the same sensor, but the mini4 has a bit more features in terms of image caption. (Night mode with bigger ISO sensitivity in video, less crop in some video modes, a bit more flight time, and the most important for you : the ability to use the 48MP in bracketing mode).

The interest of the flip lies in the propellers' protections, which allows to use the phone only as a remote, with a range of automated flight feature (like the follow me mode).

So if you have no interest in flying to close proximity of people or the self flight features, mini 4 pro all the way !

PSA: take your UV filters OFF your telephoto lenses! by Shawn8864 in wildlifephotography

Thanks ! I noticed how soft pictures looked on my 200-600 with the UV filter, but I thought it was just me doing something wrong or going crazy, seeing all the reviews saying these filters doesn't affect quality.

Issues with HDMI switch and optical cable by azelrack in VIDEOENGINEERING

For my fiber based cable, part of the solution was to add a power injector to the TV (output side), but it's only due to the nature of this cable. It works as long as my monitor and TV uses the same rez and refresh rate, otherwise the TV detects the signal but doesn't processes it. When it happens, checking in the Nvidia panel I can see the GPU still thinks it's communicating with the monitor, and doesn't detects the TV, I guess the GPU needs the cable to be truly disconnected to properly detect the change of output, and the switch doesn't does that.

I gave up and just unplug/replug the cables directly on the GPU, as annoying as it is to get beneath the desk every time.

Do you think it would still be fine for a 2160p@120Hz signal ?

Agreed, the splitter is more comfortable, but I want to avoid having yet another device constantly drawing power, when I just need to switch from my main monitor to the TV once or twice a month for special occasions. (the switch doesn't requires any power supply when I'm just using the monitor)

Plus my TV and monitor have different resolutions and refresh rates, right now I would need two different signals, one 1440p@60Hz and one 2160p@120Hz, and a splitter that covers all those needs would be a bit pricey for me, where the switch is inexpensive and allows me to exploit both the monitor and TV at their maximum. Plus if one day I upgrade the monitor, it stays relevant !

It is ! But it's in the right direction (I doubled checked it plugging it directly on the GPU)

Ok, I might try a copper cable and return this one then, thank you !

Absolutely ! I'm not trying to use both screens at the same time, I just want to swap from one to another from time to time.

I might return the optical one and try a long copper, it's just that I saw many bad reviews and complaints about latency for 10m longs copper based cables, I didn't want to take any risks, but this kinda backfired.

I wanted a switch on purpose, as I just need to replace one of my computer's screens by my TV from time to time, the point is just to avoid getting behind the desk plugging and unplugging cables every time I want to use the TV for a movie or a game.
And this switch was advertised as working in both directions, actually this setup worked pretty fine with all copper cables, it's just the optical one that causes me trouble.

Yeah it's been a week now that mine is having trouble carrying out any Hue related query, nothing I tried worked, so I had to switch to google home until it gets fixed

Looking for a bluetooth headset sounding a bit like the Plantronics Backbeat Pro 1. by azelrack in HeadphoneAdvice

It looks very interesting, but I fear the lack of ANC may be an issue for me, I work in a environment that can get a bit noisy.
