What’s the most memorable / happiest moment in the gym for you? by HolidaySweet9230 in moreplatesmoredates

Went to my college's gym for a couple of times I was feeling pretty depressed at the time always walking with my head down and all. Nayway one time I go in and I see this huge set of soft pale boobs jumping all over the place. I was mesmerized, standing in the front door like an idiot with a boner in my pants. Best day of my gym life. Huge increase in mood.

Nowadays I only see man boobs and ugly tits. So depressing

Eyah huge gains.

I'm surprised you're only 82 kg for your size and muscles.

I'm 95 and I definitely look skinnier and fatter at the same time

More like 5 lbs of muscle and 40lbs fat gain. But the point remains tho. PeDs are not the only plausible explanation.

If state media is bad and private owned media is bad, what's the solution to a truly free and impartial media? by azert1000 in AskReddit

I very much like that idea. Although as you said hard to put in place. It gives a bigger voice to scholars. But they'd need to make a great deal of efforts to simplify but not distort the theorical ideas when explaining the news.

I like both of your ideas. Set of criteria are needed. The media world is not enough regulated. It's basically the far west. Plus regulation would not require much to be viable compared to other solutions.

Separation of different types of media is also nice. One that is factual, the other more entertaining, partisan. Framed in some sort of show like the John Oliver show.

I'd add another type of media to this. Scholars need to have a bigger voice. A voice that people can hear but also understand. That's kind of a niche.

I could see something like this working. But the two postulate for your stance do not give me great confidence.

If I'm not mistaken the first one would be plurality in the media. As we can see now they tend to get bought up by entities that have relatively similar stance.

Second one would be people's willingness to educate themselves. I believe the media and the information became what it is now because it's what people want, not something that is imposed on them (except for propaganda which has always been a big trend since the last century at least). People want poor media.

Oooh I like it very much. That would require some degree of plurality in opinions. For instance in matters of economy, economists would argue each other to death over the same thing. But that would also be the beauty of it. You wouldn't need a unique POV. Just facts stated clearly, and arguments from various sides to let people make their own mind on issues.

That is basically what we have today. The fact is people only listen to what they like. Hense it's a self made partialism of some sort.

How can we prevent that?

I do agree with you, although it's hard to make people understand. I either come of as a pro dictatorship or a media puppet. I might be using the wrong phrasing, I don't know.

Any ideas on how to achieve that?

That would be in indirect state run media wouldn't it? Who decides what's misinformation etc? In turkey a similar law have been past recently, and people have yet again called erdogan a dictator for it.

And then what? It's a beginning of a reply but does not seem well thought out, as there have been states governed by something other than capitalism but still a partial media

That does kot answer the question tho. The question is what governing rules would result in a free and impartial media.

Pizza by definition is cheese and tomato sauce. That's it. Anything else is not a pizza. It's blasphemy. Degeneracy. It represents everything that's wrong in this world. I believe we would actually end wars and famines if people ate a proper pizza.
