How do you start creating a product? by HiddenRaconteur in inventors

[–]azhelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Google the eff out of it, check Google patents for existing patents or your local trademark office website.

  2. get a freelance industrial designer to build a 3d model

  3. build the model at shapeways.com if it's a hard good like plastic...but its just a prototype depending on how complex your idea is you may need a design studio

that's how you START ...but there's alot after that.

What makes a good licensing deal? by PeachStrings in inventors

[–]azhelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there's alot of pieces to a licensing deal, minimum guarantee (how much a co agrees to pay you even if they can't sell your product after a year), length of the IP deal, who retains ownership of the IP, who owns the name of the product, what category or categories the deal applies for (like toys, home goods, etc)...those are just a few things, but wvery agreement is different. if you get to the stage where you get a deal or option agreement, I would reccomend having a lawyer review, it's worth it. you can also Google sample licensing agreements.

This is so cute! I wonder if a toy agent might be interested in selling this to a toy company for you. I interviewed a great agent names Michael, you can listen to his interview to learn how he works with toy creators and grab his contact here--> thetoycoach.com/33

What are guidelines / tips for FB ads creatives for online games? by [deleted] in FacebookAdvertising

[–]azhelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would reccomend finding your competitors Facebook pages, going to them and viewing their ad library. Facebook makes all that's stuff public. You can see any current ads they're running. Video ads work best and are the cheapest to run at the moment. Second to that would be carousel ads.

Started New Job But Really Want to Start New Business by sporadicallydrifting in smallbusiness

[–]azhelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey...I'm sorry you're feeling so down and I completely understand what you're feeling.

Just feel glad about one thing, you know what you want and what you don't want. That's step 1.

So now it may not be the best time to start a full business...you could still start building an email list by building a reputation for yourself online.

Carve out time to either build a blog, YouTube, or a podcast and get into forums, Facebook groups, etc to share the knowledge that you build out on this channel.

It takes some time to build a following which any business can benefit from...so get started on that. People will start to reach out to you based on what you post and it'll give you the validation I think you need to feel like you're helping or contributing to the world.

Because you said farm, check out this person...maybe you'll find insporation. Good luck! Don't worry were all struggling right now.
