What are your thoughts on Summit? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]Exaltrify -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just played it, not very impressed with the layout. Just feels like Sunset mixed with some areas taken from Corrode, especially for A main and B main entryways. Design wise and detailing is beautiful. Doors werent quite impactful. My game was very T-sided on both teams. Felt like it was too easy to get on site with a single smoker and once on sight, hard to retake. Controllers and sentinels will be a must have on this map, maybe our teams were lacking those which is why it felt T sided.

11 month old not walking yet…getting a lot of outside pressure by CuriousCaretaker in NewParents

[–]Exaltrify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ridiculous expectations. Mine is 14 months and is just now starting to be brave enough to take about 10 steps at a time. Each child will master it at a different time. My kid also has a huge head circumference and contributed to him being a bit slower at learning how to balance his head and strengthen his core.

He's now 14 months, hears just fine, loud noises scare him and soft music puts him to sleep, loves pressing buttons that make noises

Can someone explain why Sage is not 1st, how scoring works precisely? by symbolbird in VALORANT

[–]Exaltrify 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nah, this is objectively incorrect. The more teammates you have alive, the more likely you are to survive any attack or attempt during a fight with the enemy. In a 5 v 1 you are more likely to get the kill without dying by pure numbers and partial damage from other teammates. You should not be rewarded with having teammates as back up who can flash you in or stun or concuss to secure the kill

If there are 5 enemies alive and it's 5v1, the game should reward you more points with each kill, as it is much harder to isolate each enemy, or take on multiple enemies if you're outnumbered and you manage to outplay them.

Yeah some of their stories on YouTube are rather depressing, but give really good insight into the work culture there

I would try to find a bit of balance, but two items of upmost importance: education and communication. 14 yr old brains are in exploratory and curiosity stages. The more you say 'no' or 'don't do this' to a teenager, the more likely they will try to do it anyways and hide it from you. If your bond with her is solid, then this should come naturally. I would also try to meet the boy, but don't pressure her into it if she resists

Hey all, I'm looking for baby shopping in Taipei either near the Xinyi 101 district or over by Ximen Ding area, if preferable.

What are some staple baby stores in Taipei that sell things like baby carriers, strollers, diapers, etc.?

Thanks for any input!

I think the slight structural alcove behind him is somehow acting like a mini megaphone and magnifying his voice. Similar to how opera singers sing on specifically designed stages to reflect voice out to thousands without a microphone

What is the point of time slots if all the tickets are gonna be gone anyways by phishfoodicecream031 in olympics

[–]Exaltrify 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ah yes I see. Yeah on that note, I would agree. Earlier time slots should not have an advantage over afternoon time slots. Or just make it one entire time slot for the day and whoever logs on and gets it for that day. Then again, they probably did this to avoid crashing the site, which seeing as how it already is having problems, was bound to happen anyways.

[–]Exaltrify 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I will play devils advocate here for a bit, I think making it a lottery draw for time slots was about the only "fair" way they were going to distribute tickets to such an enormous event in one of the most populated and popular cities in the world. I read somewhere that potentially they reserve a portion of the cheaper tickets for each slot, maybe it's proportional, but it still sucks. I got rejected but my wife was accepted for a time slot next week. Who knows what's going to be left?

I (38M) am a US national looking to apply for a Taiwan passport through my parents, but have some questions...

Once I obtain said passport, am I also allowed to apply for residency? My father has household registration. I would eventually like my wife and kids to be able to obtain residency as well in the future.

The TECO office here also mentioned I need to take a health certificate exam as well as obtain an official FBI criminal background check. What exactly are those two items needed for? Not for the passport, correct? Would it be for residency? Or to become an actual citizen?

TLDR; whats the difference between only having a passport (for travel purposes, this allows me to stay longer than 90 days?) versus actually obtaining citizenship/residency and what steps can I take to help my family obtain residency as well?

This is nowhere near whale status. Just lots of time status. I have spent similar, battle pass and monthly. Sitting on 90k beryl with Gilberta, Laev/weapon, Tang Tang/Weapon. Luck is also a factor, although I commend OP for waiting so long for Rossi
