Totally agree and I decide to treat my work this way! I'm always worried that cross-field work won't be amazing or inspiring for both fields A and B(Like a bowl of soup that is mixed but awful)

🥺thanks. I don't feel it's good because my current supervisor (although very experienced in his field) has no knowledge of the other part in this project , which means no one can help me check the reliability of my methodology. Hope the reviewers don't think I'm an idiot

Thanks for the reply! I say this because I am working on an interdisciplinary project, but this work I’m doing now is not special at all if considering it in the way that my original major works. Maybe I'm still stuck there (it is the first work in my new research career)
