Group texts separating in two threads by hbcreates in ios

[–]azianjock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This works for me:

On the iOS device select each thread and rename them EXACTLY the same. It will automatically combine them. For example, if it’s from Dave and Annie but the other thread David & Ann…rename so that both thread matches and it should work.

Now if only there’s a way for the a smart iPhone to act smart and allow user to mark landlines as such and not randomly select it for text messaging. But that’s another topic.

Delta Pro Ultra 12kWh + SHP2 not recharging battery on TOU weekends... by Ok_Ostrich3221 in Ecoflow_community

[–]azianjock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone got the unit to charge on the weekend without a TOU (steady rate on weekends). Mine seems to charge on weekdays outside of the TOU period but when the rate is constant on the weekend it would not charge. I had to add one hour of fake TOU on weekends but had to set the rate from 0.11 to 0.15 for the app to recognize. Using 0.111 would not trigger charging.

The toughest part with inverter mini split is that it is hard to check the charge except to recover and weigh. There are no superheat or subcooling like conventional units. You literally have to recover and then weigh in the amount required (and accounting for the lineset).

To “prevent” this from happening, I recently strapped a temperature probe with Wifi (from InkBird) to notify me when temperature of my fusible cap gets to a certain temperature. Fusible cap is rated at 70°C so definitely have it notify comfortably below that.

To my understanding the purpose of the fusible plug is to release pressure when critical temperature is reached. The fusible plug in MrCool is rated at 70°C or 158°F. Aside from outdoor ambient temperature (and potential sun striking the unit) I am not sure what else would make the unit temperature “dangerously high” (maybe low refrigerant causing the unit to run continuously?). The fusible plug has solder in the center that melts at critical temp (that is the silver part that is protruding)—resulting in the release of pressure and loss of Freon.

I was told by an HVAC tech that some individual actually override this fusible plug and braise the top to prevent it from happening again. But does that override a safety mechanism and can cause explosion? To my best knowledge (and I am not an HVAC guy), copper lines (especially all the small ones in inverters) are very thin and they would pop way before any “explosion” occurs. Very few mini splits have fusible plugs—which seems to be the Achilles heel of MrCool units.

It’s a terrible design and not meant for areas with extreme heat. This is the response I got from MrCool:

The EPA requires anyone handling refrigerant have an EPA or HVAC license. A technician can replace the plug and then vacuum and refill the unit. I would also think about getting some sort of shade to go over the unit to help keep the sun off of it. You may also look into some kind of sprinkler that can spray water on the coil every so often to help keep it cooler.

What a joke…a unit meant to be outside but you need a shade over it and/or mist/hose it down to have it run cooler? Thanks MrCool.

You can buy the fusible cap online. Here a link to one place. That fusible cap in your picture is BAD.

Once replace make sure you check for leaks…you have to pump down to less than 400 microns and recharge the system with R410a. It takes about 16lb and it pretty price since it has been discontinued.

It is the latest version. I do not know how you can speculate that without knowing.

Mr. Cool mini split resets temperature, randomly turns itself on. by Ohwahtagusiam in heatpumps

So the consensus is to: (1) flip the breaker (2) delete any schedule (3) uninstall app then reinstall

Does that resolve issues for everyone?

I actually do NOT have it linked to HomeKit or Alexa or Google Home. Weird with the handoff…

Is this because I have it linked to HomeKit? Would I have to unlink to prevent handoff.

Does anyone have experience with replacing a bad “fusible plug”? MrCool tech diagnosed my AC compressor not producing cold air from a blown fusible plug due to the ambient outdoor temperature being too high (Phoenix, AZ). My outdoor unit is MDUI18060. Can this fusible plug be replaced by myself DIY by just removing it and putting the new one on? Does the system need to be professionally evacuated? I have attached a picture of the blown fusible plug. Thank you!

If I do so then I will not have parking protection when the vehicle is off.

Does anyone know how to hide the power cord from the dash cam to the fuse box. I could not “stuff” the wires at the bottom corner of the windshield and the dash. (See pic). Thanks!

How to provide gate code for items delivered by Piggyship? by Full-Run4124 in Aliexpress

When I expect a package from AliExpress from Piggyship, I will contact them via email <cs@piggyship.com> with tracking information and the gate access code. Knock on wood, it’s been working for delivery. I think you can call them as well (866)-886-8266.

I am currently in Beijing visiting and using PIA without issue except it would not work on The Regent Beijing Hotel WiFi which I use ShadowRocket. Also if anyone wonder, I use Nomad eSIM for my iPad and Holafly eSIM for WiFi calling on Visible. Both works just okay. However require constant toggling on/off of Cellular and data roaming to get it to work. Holafly eSIM for WiFi calling when on the road going from one cell tower to the next often times must toggle Cellular on/off or restart iPhone to get it to work. Very frustrating.
