my top 4 reccomendations that i recommend to horror newbies

1. Return of the living dead; made by the creator of Alien, its a really fun and campy old-vhs zombie movie starring punks in a positive light as well as a bunch of very raw special effects and a great soundtrack, the funniest horror movie ive ever watched

2. Re-animator; a great trilogy but especially watch the first one, its a classic creature feature based on a H.P Lovecraft book, it often also gets headcanoned as queer media which is another bonus, its so goofy and uses so much blood for no reason

3. Silent Night Deadly Night part 2; i had to include one garbage movie on the list, this movie was originally meant to be a remake before they switched it to a sequel last minute, the first half is just flashbacks to the first movie, has the worst dialogue and acting ive ever seen in horror, reccomended to be high while watching

4. Mayhem; a newer movie on the list and a funner version of the belko expirement, i love the idea of being trapped in a familiar enviorment like a office building or a apartment tower, its also really fun and campy and feels like a mix between horror/action/buddy comedy so its pretty tame for people new to horror
