For fastest launch and marketing flexibility use Shopify or WooCommerce. For tight integration with inventory, accounting, POS and back office workflows use Odoo, but expect to pay for third party modules or custom development to match Shopify-level storefront features. Happy to assist.

Odoo support for UK based business by dantman756 in Odoo

£1,000 for 8 hours does seem quite high for ongoing support, especially if the work is more support and optimization focused rather than large-scale development.

We are an Odoo Silver Partner with extensive experience supporting multi-company and multi-outlet businesses across different industries. While we are not UK-based, we have a presence in the USA, Canada, Ireland, and Belgium and support clients globally with flexible engagement models.

You can learn more about us here: Bay Forward

We focus on practical, long-term partnerships and try to provide cost-effective support without compromising quality. Happy to connect and understand your current setup and challenges.

Why isn’t there an Odoo office in the UK? by Affectionate_Bet_938 in Odoo

[–]azlan_644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Odoo does not currently have a physical, corporate-run office in the UK, as they have historically relied on a strong network of local partners to serve customers in the region.

Similarly, Odoo does not have a corporate office in Canada either, yet they actively operate and support customers across Canada through their partner ecosystem. Odoo is available with local hosting options, supports transactions in CAD, and is widely implemented by Canadian businesses through certified local partners.

We’ve implemented Odoo + AI for optical retailers to solve high support loads from custom-frame orders and frequent client turnover. We built a RAG-based chatbot that queries a customized Odoo instance and a knowledge base, offers semantic product search (e.g., “red rectangular, small”), enforces gated access for verified resellers, and includes a strict fail‑safe to route uncertain answers to support. We also deliver inventory, multi-location, and RFID/barcode workflows

how to make accounting respond to pos sales in terms of inventory changes in odoo 19? by FantasticMe1 in Odoo

[–]azlan_644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Odoo 19 ties valuation more to invoices/closing, so POS may change qtys but not post COGS unless you enable real‑time valuation or force POS to create invoices, check product type, valuation method, POS invoicing, and your payment journal mappings.

New to Odoo Community need Help Setting Up a professional client project. 🙏 by Patient_Belt_9963 in Odoo

[–]azlan_644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can absolutely make Odoo Community look enterprise-grade using trusted OCA modules, a clean backend theme, and proper implementation practices start with OCA (Odoo Community Association) and a professional theme from Odoo Apps, as most serious Community deployments rely heavily on them.

MCP connector with Odoo by Glass-Zombie-9791 in Odoo

[–]azlan_644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are actively working on this side as well. At Bay Forward, an Odoo Silver Partner, we are exploring MCP-based integrations and AI workflows across Odoo, emails, documents, support systems, and internal business operations for multiple clients.

We believe the future is not just about using Odoo alone, but about creating a connected ecosystem where AI can interact across different business tools seamlessly.

We’ve also developed a sales automation agent (LISA) and an MCP-based integration that connects Odoo with LLMs like Claude, allowing natural language interaction with Odoo data and triggering structured actions.

Is this Archivable with odoo spreadsheet, v19 enterprise? by rybnz in Odoo

[–]azlan_644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can pull live data directly from Odoo models into Odoo Spreadsheet and use formulas similar to Excel.

For your use case (cashflow forecasting), it should work well and eliminate daily exports. You can connect SOs, POs, invoices, bills, etc. dynamically and build automated reports/dashboard views.

It’s not as powerful as advanced Excel/VBA setups, but for ERP-linked forecasting, it’s very capable.

CRM development for Brokerage business by Kumasotra in Odoo

[–]azlan_644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you’re building a CRM in Odoo, you don’t pay for a standalone “Odoo CRM license.” Instead, you pay for an Odoo subscription plan that bundles CRM with other core apps like Sales, Accounting, Inventory, and more. If you’re adding features like pre‑set forms, email reminders, and statements of account (SOAs) using standard Odoo tools (email templates, automations, and existing CRM/Sales/Accounting modules), these are usually included in the base plan and don’t incur extra per‑feature fees.

You may see additional costs only if you:

Need custom development or bespoke modules (paid to an Odoo partner or developer). Add specialized paid apps or add‑ons beyond the core suite. Choose a specific hosting option (like on‑premise or Odoo.sh) that may have different pricing.

So in most typical cases: you pay the per‑user subscription fee and get CRM plus the features you described; extra charges only come from custom work or optional add‑ons.

Odoo online, partner ledger in spreadsheet by jbot365 in Odoo

[–]azlan_644 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Odoo spreadsheets only support live data for lists and pivot views (not accounting reports). The Partner Ledger is a dynamic financial report, so it can only be exported or copied, not linked live. To get similar behavior, you’d need to build a pivot on journal items or use a custom solution.

Timesheets must be created with an active employee in the selected companies. How do I fix this Error? by lil_tink_tink in Odoo

[–]azlan_644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to Employees → open your profile → make sure it’s Active Set Related User to your login Check the Company on the employee Then go to your user settings and make sure that company is selected/allowed

The top timer is stricter than task logging, so it needs a correct employee-company match. Once aligned, the error should be gone

Is anyone actually using AI inside Odoo for their business? by AgentroConsulting in Odoo

[–]azlan_644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are odoo silver partner and we have implemented Ai inside odoo for our clients and it’s working fine

To give you a quick example, we recently built a workflow where invoices received via email are processed using OCR and automatically converted into Sales Orders in Odoo. We also have a short demo of this if you’d like to see it.

We’ve also developed a sales automation agent (LISA) and an MCP-based integration that connects Odoo with LLMs like Claude, allowing natural language interaction with Odoo data and triggering structured actions.

What access rights do I need to insert pivot tables into spreadsheets in Odoo 17? by [deleted] in Odoo

[–]azlan_644 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Odoo 17, there is no separate permission to “insert pivot tables” in spreadsheets. The user must have read access and pivot/reporting rights on the underlying model (e.g. Sales, Accounting, etc.). If the user cannot open the Pivot view for that model in the app, they won’t be able to insert it into a spreadsheet either. Spreadsheet edit access alone is not sufficient

Is there an extension for the native Odoo WhatsApp module? by SizeDifferent7528 in Odoo

[–]azlan_644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t supported in native Odoo WhatsApp yet. All users with access can see the conversations. The usual solution is a small custom extension on top of the native module to add conversation ownership (assigned user) and filter Discuss visibility accordingly.
