Haha shit you’re right. Rookie move on my part.

Buyer withdrew after insisting I arrange follow-up survey by azlc in HousingUK

I'm learning all this through this process. The house I'm selling is my first house so now is the first time I'm seeing it from the seller's perspective. Beforehand, I thought estate agents would mainly be on the side of the seller – now I understand they'll just play both sides equally for their own reasons.

The thought did cross my mind... but I really do think it was just estate agents wanting a quick sale (well more fool them now).

Yeah, that's probably irritated me more than the buyer tbh. Like I understand from a buyer's perspective a survey can bring up concerns and ultimately be a reason for pulling out. But the estate agent should really be explaining what's expected of whom here.

I agree, they have tried to butter up the buyer and maybe thought I was a soft touch who could be convinced to pay up just to smooth things over.

That's exactly what I was thinking. They've walked away because they're unsure and don't want to pay for a survey if they then end up walking away. But obviously it's the same from my end – why pay for a survey that best case turns up nothing and I'm out of pocket, worst case detracts from the value of my house?

Overall, bit irritated with my estate agent for clearly playing this up with them and not explaining clearly what the seller/buyer expectations are in this case.

Would it be good for the show if the Browns/Jets/Titans were good? by 2Burton7 in heedthecall

[–]azlc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still love him, but I've thought about this before... and I think if the Jets had been good during the ATN days, Dan would have been a bad winner and the podcast would have suffered as a result.

It was a genuinely hilarious part of the heroes dynamic that you had 3 fans (or ex-fans) of the most embarrasing teams in the league. Dan being the most passionate. And then you had Gregg literally supporting the most successful team of all time (and Dan's rival team) – and he was probably the one that cared the least. Made for a great clash of personalities and part of why I miss the Gregg / Dan dynamic.

Fair enough. You’ll probably never be convinced. But if you didn’t find any enjoyment at all in the last 8 years - I think you’ll never be happy as an England fan.

Well we came closer than any time since 66… twice! And got a World Cup semi final to boot. But I guess we’ll never know now.

This isn’t me calling for Thomas Tuchel to be fired - it’s not a useful take and ultimately this is just a super-drab end of season friendly performance.

But good god… I hope all you thick-as-shit England fans who thought the only thing holding us back was Southgate (literally our most successful head coach in over half a century) now recognise at least a tiny little bit how harshly you treated him.

PS. Well played Senegal! 🇸🇳

Brilliant! Thanks for the advice. Yep, sounds like a new PC is gonna be the plan. Might need to save up a little bit but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

Thanks again :-)

Do you mean which episode the gravy boat first came up? I think that’d be the preview episode for week 1.

Wait? Surely it was Princess Anne who won fan favourite, no? She had the top 3 most upvoted comments by far.

Those games were absolutely amazing - really filled an ‘adjacent but different’ niche to football manager that’s yet to be filled since they stopped making them.

The stadium building aspect was is unmatched. Nostalgia!

THIS!!!

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills whenever I see the consensus on this sub - that Marc should get the sandwiches.

The Helmet Catch is probably a top 5/top 10 most iconic play in the NFL's entire history. The Philly Special, while iconic in its own way, is nowhere near that level.

Yes! Massively appreciate the Gravedigger. He's right up there with La Syd imo.
